We love these legos and have purchased several for “boo baskets” they are perfect for Halloween and even just a normal option. The variety is great and the building guide is helpful to make a couple of cute monsters. The colors are vibrant and the quality is standard for the Lego brand. Overall this a great value product for the price.

Instructions were clear and bag for each build labeled. 4 year old was able to do all of them with only one or two helps. Finished characters are funny looking which adds to the value. Grand kid gave them each a unique name based on what they looked like 4 builds for 10 bucks tools about 20 minutes so not a long term plaything. Also there are extra bricks in case your child wants to upgrade any of the builds which we did the second day. Good rainy day item. Wry pleased

I would give this set a 1000/10 if I could! This is super beginner friendly for the tiny Lego builders! My son is 4 and the instructions were so clear for him to understand. Good value for 5 little builds plus there is extra pieces to let them build their own monsters too! So fun and so many colors to practice with too! So fun!

Great for a kids birthday gift, good value

You can never go wrong with Legos. Nice building set.

Dividable critters: because these are small pieces and my grandson just turned five… I was able to take two of the critters separate from the other ones to make sure that he knew how to put them together w fairly easy to understand picture book. Then he could mix and match (only 2 critters) faces and horns etc. The next day I let him make the other ones. And then I let him mix and match the total kit and make all kinds of funny creatures. Activities were broken down into three different evenings. There are very small pieces but he would not put them in his mouth. Love it!! He does too! The reason why I broke them up is to give him more time to consider mixing and matching… Because he’s the kind of kid that wants to make things exactly as they’re “supposed” to be. This help to reinforce mixing matching creativity. As most Legos are meant to be put together in a specific way in a kit.

Unfortunately too many Lego kits are so wedded to plans that there’s no room for kids to use their imagination and build something new and unique. Happily this kit provided steps in the right direction. There is information and diagrams about how to build the “monsters”” — but there’s also plenty of extra pieces so the young builder can create his own (and better!) figures. I thinks that by providing all the extra pieces Lego Itself is granting young builders permission to imagine beyond the Lego horizon and create outside the official cannon. And who can resist these magnificent colors?!? They are just begging to become something new. This is a must-have kit for any young Lego builder.

I tutor a 12 yr old who loves Lego but has hit that peer age where he isn’t sure if it is cool to admit it. We take time to build a small kit a few times a year then I allow him to take the bricks home. Since we have been reading stories about silly creatures, this kit seemed appropriate. It is colourful, creative with adorable creatures that will appeal to him. Lego is reliable for its sturdy build, and its ability to mix and match with all other Lego kits. You can follow the instructions given or strike out with your own imagination.
