Reverse Charades
Charades is a classic party game that we play at least once at Christmas and 'Director's Cut' is a different take on it. Rather than one player picking a card and acting something out in silence, this game involves more players. One player is the director who must instruct the 'actors' in a scene so that they can guess who they are or what they are doing. It is simple to pick up, but the acting and guessing can be a little tricky. The game works best in a larger group as you can concentrate on getting your own team to guess the answer rather than relying on people you are playing against. The megaphone is a fun prop if you want to use it and also contains the guessing cards and some paper. Like any time that you buy charades in a pack, it does seem a little odd as you could just spend a little time making some guesses up yourself. The price for this is not too much and the props are a nice extra.

Fun Twist On Charades That Can Be Enjoyed By All The Family... Can Get Loud
I got this for my family to play and it is a good fun take on the classic game of charades that can be enjoyed by all.Set a timer for 90 seconds and then try and "direct" your cast so that they can guess the word on the card. Try and win as many cards as possible in the time limit, before the next person has a go.The black plastic megaphone is a bit of fun and things can take a comedic turn depending upon your directing skills.I love the fact that everything is self contained within the megaphone so there's no chance of losing cards if everything is packed away properly after the game. The word cards are thin and feel a bit cheap/flimsy, but ultimately do the job.Though the game is recommended for 8+ we found our 6 year old was able to partake without too many problems once we'd explained to her the rules and maybe helped her with the meaning on some of the cards.I can see this definitely being played at Christmas, where an excess of Christmas "Spirit" could make things pretty fun!

An absolute riot
The premise of the game is simple, I can’t believe nobody’s thought of it before. It’s just like classic charades except that the currently active player (the director), rather than acting it out themselves, has to direct one or more of the non-active players to do so. The cards contain phrases or words (rather than movie or song titles). The game can be very easy or very hard depending on how you play it, for example, one of the cards said ‘taxi driver’ - if the director is allowed to say things like pretend you’re driving a car and pretend your in the back seat of the car, then it can be a bit easy. If, on the other hand, the director is only allowed to supply physical directions (e.g. put your arms out in front of you as if you’re holding something etc.) it’s more difficult and, in my opinion, a lot more fun.In terms of game components the cards are paper thin plastic so they do crease easily, but they are waterproof which is handy if you happen to be playing this game whilst having a few drinks, something I highly recommend. The plastic megaphone is a bit of a gimmick really and you don’t really need it. The cards are stored comfortably in its base and secured with a lid. The game is an absolutely riot and if you enjoy Charades you will enjoy this game. If you don’t it’s probably not for you.

Shouty Americano sharades
Games night? Need a new game? This is Goliath Games Directors Cut, For Ages 8+, 4 Pieces. This game is great fun, basically the youngest takes the megaphone (becomes the director) sets a timer for 90 seconds, then draws a scene card and shouts instructions associated with scenario...i.e. Hairdresser, stand up, hold scissors infront and start cutting...etc. Keep shouting instructions until actors guess the answer, then draw another card and carry on until 90 seconds is up. The game is over when everyone has been director, total the scores and who got the most right first wins!It is a really easy fun game, great for kids or adults after a few shandies. The best thing is, it all packs away into directors megaphone. OK the scenes are very American, but still fun.Overall for just over a fiver this game is not only fantastic value, but great fun too! Well recommended.

Fun game to play.
This is a fun and entertaining charades game which you can certainly spend an enjoyable few hours playing. I thought this game was a little bit different having a megaphone which to be honest you don't really need but it does add an amusing element to the game. The cards and writing pad are contained within the base of the megaphone which is helpful as nothing can easily get lost. The premise of the game is to chose a card and act out words written on said card, one person can choose to be the film director who then directs the others. It becomes even more fun when the alcoholic beverages are flowing! The only thing that let it down for me was the thin cards more like thin paper really with a plastic coating, they bend very easily so i would be a bit worried about their longevity. This is a good game suitable for 3+ players.

A fun twist on charades
This is an amazing value game at just over £5, you receive the cards in a fun megaphone container which, the idea is that you're the director and you see what's on the cards and you direct the other players to do what is on the card for them to guess what they are doing - it's like charades but with that fantastic twist. It's a lot of fun - with lots of laughs to be had, recommended and amazing price.

A fun and interesting twist on a popular game!
The Directors cut game has definitely put an interesting spin of the game of Charades. The megaphone style item you get really intrigued my children and made them eager to play ‘director’ it was lots of fun seeing them get into character and have lots of fun! It’s a straightforward game where the director shouts instructions from the cards and a player has to act out. Points are awarded and then the winner is the person with the most points. Simple but lots of fun! My seven and nine year old are a real fan of this game!Overall it’s fun, easy and great for kids or adults!
