UV Bore Light Illuminator, Neon Green, Standard Two Pack (BL-GREEN-2PK)

Great multi purpose safety device. Needed Chamber flag for storing firearms in there holster w/ full magazine. The additional of a bore light using ambient light sources is great. Just Glancing at the bore indicates condition. When firearm is stored in holster the bore light has enough clearance to clear Kydex. When temporarily stowing ( I will place the holster w/ chamber checker flagging a closed chamber and place in pistol sleeve or range bag with a full clip (readiness) . No chance of racking a round unintentionally, or double feeding. great value and plenty bright with natural light.

I purchased this illuminator because I had one years ago (can't recall who made it but it was bent 90 degrees, instead of this "J" design and it had a clip for a shirt pocket) which worked very well. I also didn't want to deal with batteries.Problem with this item is twofold: first, when looking down the barrel towards the light he plastic appears fractured and this cuts back on the light and casts shadows; second, because of the "J" shape instead of being able to point it toward a stronger light source, it faces me and I'm not a very good light source.I'm not going to bother sending this back bc it's cheap and I'm lazy but I will never purchase from 'Pro-Shot Products' because if they can't get a piece of plastic right I don't se how they can get anything right.

Fit in the chamber of my 9mm fine any smaller would be tough. Lights up my pistol barrels fine longer barrel's well but not super bright (remember it uses ambient light and not battery powered) so need to be near other light. Will work well for the range and gun shows highly recommend for someone who takes pride in their firearms or collectors who want to get a better look st what they're buying

Does not gather sufficient light to allow reasonable inspection of bore--have an older clear Lucite bore illuminator that works much better. Like the idea of this being able to double as chamber safety flag, but could not get to slip into ANY of my 9mm's (shaft too long).

Fits in my shirt pocket. Lightweight. Easy to carry. Works well at checking the bore of a used gun when I go to the local shops.This certainly beats dragging around a bore light, of which I've yet to find one reliable enough to warrant purchasing.

Green is the best color for this use; it has high contrast and shows the inside of the barrel really well.

Not as bright as I had hoped. While it does work you need to be in the right light, and have a good angle to get it to work properly. There is a slight learning curve to get the biggest benefit out of each use. Would say for the cost is okay.

This bore light does illuminate the inside of the barrel. The stronger the light in the room, the brighter the barrel illumination. But, it does not seem to give me the level of detail as a Hoppe's bore light does. I can't see leading very well in the barrel grooves or forcing cone. In short, its OK.

I wasn't sure these would work, but since Pro-Shot is reknown for their top quality products I decided to give it a go. Hey it's incredible! I could see inside my .223 18.5" barrel all the way down to the chamber in bright neon green! Really cool! Note that you need to use a flashlight. Natural light is not enough, at least not for a 18.5" barrel. Now of course that's not a profession tool. But if you wonder what the inside of your barrel looks like go ahead and order it!Please give my review a LIKE ! :-)

I love this bore light. It is very handy to examine that your bore is clear and has zero defects. A cleaning rod can push past some obstructions. After removing all ammo, observing the chamber and verify the feed path this fiber optic light is the best tool you could use to examine the bore after all your safety checks have been done. This bore light will not go into the chamber if there is a cartridge in the chamber so its kinda fool-proof really.
