Hunter 26047 72-Inch Downrod for Fans, New Bronze

I was a little suspicious that this rod would hold up a giant fan like this but it seems to work fine. I got an amazon warehouse version that was cheaper than retail because it was blemished. On my high ceiling you can't even see any imperfections so that worked out great. Even at discount it was a little pricey, I wish there was a generic option instead of a branded one because if you had to buy this new you're considerably increasing the cost of your fan.One thing to note, the fan only comes with 60" of wire so if you're installing a 72" downrod you'll need to extend the wiring some. I used wire nuts and the leftover wire from the old fan I replaced. The nuts and wire fit into the downrod fine.

For a 28-30 feet ceiling height, these were too long. Reason is because there is a hallway on the second floor, thus the fans drop too low. They fall at face level when your on the second floor hallway, albeit far away. If you have a tall room and not open to second floor, then it'll work. Ended up going with 4 footers. I still have the 6 footers, did not use them. Email me, you can have them for shipping and handling. One was opened, the other still in the wrap. God luck.

Our electrician installing the fan discovered that for a 6ft downrod, they only provided about 4ft of wire. Luckily he was able to splice some more on to make it reach. But he said it definitely should have come with about 8ft of wire.

I looked everywhere for this rod but only found it on Amazon. While it was speedy delivery and got here in one piece, the rod had deep scratches and the threading part was bent as if someone took a hammer to it. It's too late to return it since the electrician had to hammer it into shape and used repair markers to cover up the scratches. According ti my electrician this is a factory defected item. I am hesitant to buy any other items from this brand since it was a factory defect.

Love the color and the timing at which it was delivered to us. However when we opened the box there was no screws included. Normally wouldn’t be a problem but one of the sizes needed seemed to be a very peculiar size. Other wise would’ve been a very seamless operation!

Horribly expensive but a necessary evil. It's a huge rip off and came scratched up.

The down rod worked great for our ceiling fan. Even with the 72" length there is no wobble with the fan on high speed.
