Solid choice for a quality wool base layer. If you have a longer torso, get the mens version
I like to put wool gear to the test, wearing it for a week straight (washing if need be, at night, and letting it air dry overnight). I'm impressed at week one of wearing top and bottom under clothes. I've been warm, not hot, and although these fit closely, they are not snug. It's felt a bit like having my skin lightly massaged all day. Elbows (and knees in the matching bottoms) do show some stretching with multiple wears. I have both hand washed and machine washed on gentle cycle, tumble dry extra low. I think there will be some pilling in the future, but all in all, this feels like a solid base layer choice for multiple climates.I'm 5'2, 127lbs, medium boned with an athletic build. My husband is 5'8, 135lbs, small boned with an athletic build. The small women's fit me perfectly. The sleeves would come down a bit over my hands except for the weird cord like cuff- it would be exactly perfect with thumb holes. The shirt is close, not tight, and comes down to about mid hip, which is perfect for tucking in. The small men's fit me nearly perfectly - it was a little bit bigger, but not much, the main difference was that the mens version had a longer torso, which comes down over my bum.The mens small was a bit too tight on my husband and the sleeves were too short. The mens version also has soft, full cuffs. The women's version has almost like a cord around the end of the sleeves. Not a deal breaker, but I do find it irritating. Zoom in on the listing pics to see cuffs.Pros:Good qualityDoesn't hold smellsTemperature regulatingVery soft - I've got super sensitive skin and this doesn't itch. The price is excellentConsIf you are tall, I'd suggest going for the mens version. This is perfect on someone short, like me.No thumb holes - I might even take it to a tailor to have thumb holes put in, as the cord makes it a bit uncomfortable to pull down over my hands. The cord like ending to the sleeves is annoying, I considered taking a star off for it, but the price and quality overall are so good that it didn't seem quite fair - more of a 1/2 star.I love that they sent a free pair of merino socks with each order (I ordered multiples for my husband and myself). The socks were much too big for me, but my husband was happy to restock his merino sock collection for free. (I'm a 6.5 - 7 shoe size, they were more appropriate for my husband's 10.5 shoe size)If I could give half stars, this would be 4.5 stars. It's a solid choice for someone transitioning to wool base layers. Honestly, the quality feels better than a lot of Smart Wool layers I've had, and it's softer.

Great base layer for hiking
My fiancé and I do a lot of hiking around the US as we are on the quest to see all 63 national parks. We are always looking for recommendations for good quality hiking apparel and merino wool was always high on everyone's list. I ordered a 250 one to try it out. Loved it so much I went back and ordered another color and a 320 1/2 zip. Keeps me warm. The length of chest and sleeves are perfect for my long arms! The fabric is not itchy at all. Worth every penny and I just wash according to the instructions provided and have had no issues.

Good price for a great base layer
I live in SC and was concerned that the 250 weight would be too heavy for the climate. I wore the shirt on a camping trip for five days. It was a base layer, mid layer, and top layer. It is soft next to the skin, washes like a dream, has a feminine and flattering cut, and a long torso to tuck or generously cover the top of pants.

This feels like silk!
From the minute, I opened it and felt it with my fingers. I could tell that this was a beautifully made garment. There’s nothing cheap about it, it feels like butter. I wore it all day and felt comfortable. I never felt overheated, or sweaty. The sleeves are a little long for me but nothing that isn’t manageable. The free socks serve as a purpose to lure you into this company. It worked! I’m all. The socks are absolutely the most comfortable wool socks I’ve ever had.Merino wool has never felt so yummy. One thing I will say is that I feel like the color is more of a evergreen although I do pick up a hint of teal. It’s a beautiful fall and winter color.

Great but they do shrink
Between my husband and I we have several items from this brand. Some of each level, for winter cycling. As a base layer they are fantastic. They breathe well and if you hang them up in a well-ventilated area (and don’t leave them balled up in the laundry basket or gym bag) you can wear them again and again and again before washing. But!! When you do wash them, even if following manufacturer directions, they will shrink. Even with woollite, cold water wash, gentle, lay flat to dry. They also get pills. So they go from this super comfortable top that I will wear as my main shirt with jeans or whatever to something I will only wear as a base layer. So keep that in mind. I have a top I haven’t washed yet and I’m going to hand wash and see if that helps. But if I have to hand wash in order to keep them looking nice, I’ll stick to the ones I have to use as base layers only.Oh! And the free socks you get are quite comfortable also. So definitely a bonus there..So over all great as long as you keep in mind that they will shrink and the fabric will pull.

Love!!!
I just recently discovered how wonderful merino wool is for every day wear, and read about Merino.tech in some articles. I gave the heavyweight long sleeve tshirt a try. It is amazing! So warm and soft. I have long arms and the sleeves are a perfectly length on me. I also have a long torso, and the length of the shirt is again, perfect. I think I could easily have one of these in every color, but I started with the dark gray one. You won't be disappointed!!

Wool shirt that don't Itch!
This Merino wool shirt was the 165 lightweight. It fits well, and hasn't shrunk when machine washed (in cold water) and tumble dried. It does let the breeze through when worn by itself, but it's a base layer. It enhances the layers above it and keeps you dry.

love love love
I wear this long sleeve every day at work in the winter and it keeps me super warm. It’s comfortable and the shirt itself and sleeves are long. I bought another one because I liked it so much.
