Telesonic Silver Wall Clock w/Quiet Sweep Second Hand

To sum it up...this clock is SILENT!Our old wall clock thundered day after day, and night after night with an obscene tick, tick, tick, that could be used for psychological torture. After years of taking down our old clock down and stuffing it in the linen closet every night, and my wife grumbling about our clock being missing in action, I finally took action. With father's day coming up, I knew that I could have carte blanche to fill my heart's desire.After researching on Amazon and every other site I could find, one clock seemed to get the best reviews for being silent. The Telsonic clock. I put it in my wish list, and a few days later, it was OUT OF STOCK! That so often happens. As soon as I find a great restaurant with great prices, it seems they go out of business.Well, this story has a happy ending because the Telsonic clock was back in stock.I unwrapped a gift box and opened a package this father's day morning and saw "the clock". I put in a battery and the second hand started its journey around the dial. I had this eery sensation. Something like the sound of a dog not barking. I could see the hands moving, but I could not hear the clock as I held it in my hands. I turned it around and put it up to my ear and I still only heard the beautiful sound of silence! This is the clock I was looking for. If loud clocks drive you crazy, don't go insane. Get this clock!This will be the best father's day night that I can think of!

Overall, I like this clock but have a couple of issues regarding it.Like other reviewers have already stated, the clock is silent and it is easy to see.However, why did the manufacturer make it so difficult to see the proper insertion method for the AA battery? Why couldn't the positive side have been marked with a white label? (I guessed correctly how to insert it.) Hopefully, the mechanism cannot be damaged by inserting the battery incorrectly but I don't know if that's the case. How long will an alkaline battery last in this clock? What about a lithium battery? This leads me to my next issue...The clock came with no documentation. Yes, I know this is just a clock and it is not difficult to operate. But, what happens if the battery is inserted backwards? Also, what is the warranty on the clock? Does it have a warranty? What do I do if it fails in six months? What is the accuracy specification for the clock? (How much time will it gain or lose in 30 days?)Hopefully, this proves to be a reliable timepiece but I find it odd that a clock of this cost does not seem to have any support behind it.

My Telesonic wall clock is functioning beautifully. Just as advertised, it is completely silent. I bought it for my family room as my wife gets very annoyed by ticking and other rhythmic noises. I got the seal of approval from her, so I know it works (she's even considering buying one for her bathroom). The only thing I would criticize is that the silver trim on the inside and outside of the frame is very glossy and shiny (it's kind of hard to see in the Amazon photo). I would have preferred it be more of a matte finish, but it's a very minor complaint. Overall, the clock looks nice with easy to read numbers. It's kind of expensive for a wall clock, but it's worth it.

This is a quiet, easy-to read clock. Very simple, not much to it. I looks classy and high quality, is readable from a rather long distance, and is easy to hang on the wall. The second hand "sweeps" quietly through the seconds, so it does not have a ticking sound. Highly recommend to anyone who may be sensitive to noise. It seems to keep time perfectly, and also the battery is still going strong after well over a year.

I love everything about this clock! The silver color is very attractive, the face of the clock is easy to read, and I absolutely love the quiet sweep, so there is no "ticking" sound. Lastly, I love the size of this clock. It is perfect for the room that I placed it in.

The clock is very quiet, but it's not silent. It's much more quiet than other clocks with a non-sweeping second hand. So it does what it advertises. I hope it stays that way. It sounds like a very faint gravelly hum, and the room has to be completely silent to hear it.The clock surface is fairly reflective, but it still looks nice.My hearing is better than average. I can hear the whine of a CRT based TV powered on without a signal. So take that into consideration with this review. For other people the clock can be considered silent.

Easy to setup and accurate. I have a similar clock I bought years ago by the same manufacturer and I am very pleased. Nice and quiet- no tick tock.

I've had trouble finding household clocks that would keep running for than a few months. I've had this one almost three years and it keeps perfect time. Nothing to do but change the battery and reset twice a year for daylight savings time.Also, the sweep second hand will not corrupt your Pro Tools session, if you're into that sort of thing and you use live mics.
