Does it get dirty fast?

It depens, I give mine heavy usage since working from home and gaming afterwards. It lasted like 2 weeks pristine. Nothing a stuff stuff could not wash away.

What are the dimensions of XXL?

I don't fully remember what it was when I bought it but it was too big. Like 36"x18" I think. I used a straight edge and a utility knife to trim mine down and a spice container lid to round the edges. Turned out looking factory. Highly recommend that method

Is the mouse pad to soft and squishy to write on? I'm concerned my pen will push throw papers that I write on.

Well it’s not that soft or squishy compared to some other mouse pad I had before, but it depends on how thin your paper and how pointy your pen is. If you press too hard, a ballpoint pen might sink and pierce through a single piece of thin paper. If you don’t press too hard and have a couple of papers, then it should be fine
