I'm a 58 year old mechanical engineer and love tools. Martor is a great tool company with innovative designs.As a home handyman, I frequently have to stop and catch myself in any cutting operation and ask "Stop. Is what you're doing and how you're doing it safe?"Two weeks ago, I was cutting a small piece of trim with a hand saw. I was supporting the piece on a ladder in an a somewhat awkward position. My hand was a little too close to the cut line. Bottom line, saw jumped out of the groove and I ended up with very nice gash in my thumb. No stitches - but close.My brother, as a teenager, nearly severed a tendon in his thumb using a razor knife.The point of this long winded entry is that it just takes a second of inattention. Martor has a great product. Well thought out. Try it. You'll be pleased and here's to keeping all your digits intact.

Bought a few of these for my team to use after a box cutter incident. VERY SAFE. I would recommend, and safety features do not slow down operators. Must clean blade if cutting a lot of tape. I wish it would take standard blades is the only thing
