B2 Stainless Steel Chicken / Poultry Processing Restraining Killing Funnels Cones

In the past I have used homemade cones made from chicken wire, they didn't hold up well, and required someone to hold the feet. With this product I was able to process the birds much quicker. I did have one to back out but it was because I had the feet on the low side, as long as you put the feet on the high side it works fine. It was just the the right size and worked quite well on large and small birds alike. The birds I processed where 12 weeks old and they fit perfectly. Would recommend this product to anyone processing 1 to 100 birds. I will definitely buy another one

Indispensable, mounted it and a drip bucket to a 2 x 4 using pail hanger brackets, had to make a notched board, 'V' one end, rectangular for the other to fit the 2 x 4, to hold the cone in line with the bucket. Used a bungie cord to keep the cone in the 'V'. This size works best on old laying hens and smaller meat birds, some of the larger ones do flop out. Recommend a scalpel for making the cut, put bird in back toward you, pull down on comb with left hand, cut with right, LHS of birds neck close to head. Way less stress and mess all the way around. An axe and block are for splitting wood.

Does the job. We attached 4 of these to a stand that we made and were able to process our chickens without problems. The reason it received 4 stars instead of 5 is because it would be great if these had a cross bar (on a hinge to be pulled down and attached after the chicken is inserted) installed at the top opening (where you insert the bird) to keep those "Houdini" chickens from getting out.

Works good

Called, spoke w/seller, asked why there were so many misplaced rivets that did not connect the 2 pieces and rivets were all deeply ground down on both sides. The picture on site showed smooth Stainless Steel, rustproof but with all the grinding the finish is gone and it will rust and accumulate blood in all grooves. Probably wont hold up do to mismatched rivets. The owner was rude and said it did not matter because it was only for chicken.I paid more for SS and it would have been great except for the rivets and deep grinding all along the seam.

the quaility was good but too small for the broilers I was processing seems like it was made for something with a long neck like ducks. I need the next size up for broilers.

Perfect size for a Cornish cross hen. We did have to put a little string around their neck (a leash, not a noose) to coax their head out the bottom of the funnel. They kept turning their head and it wouldn't stick out the bottom otherwise. It worked great!

great for the price you pay on amazon. you pay more from cconly direct. They fit birds that dress out to 8 lbs. with ease. no bruising on legs on larger birds. Should have bought these years ago. Throw out the milk jugs and buy these to save you the hassle.
