Jose is 13 years old and Sissy is only 5 month, both of these dogs love the Merrick Grain Free Backcountry Freeze Dried Raw Meal Mixer. I had done some research on the benefits of the raw diet for dogs, but the price tag was quite scary. I ran across this because it is actually made near Amarillo Texas where I live. I am so impressed, both dogs love it, I do sprinkle it on top of their kibble that is also Merrick grain free. Devour...is a good word.... Every dog is different just like humans...but my dogs think this is awesome!!

MY PUPPY LOVES THIS PRODUCT!!!! We but it in her actual food from Merrick; however, we decided to purchase this individually for treats or to supplement. Our tricky puppy literally will dig through her entire bowl to find all of the freeze dried pieces. We cover them up, and she digs through them every time. When the Amazon package arrives and she smells the bag, she starts whimpering and whining. For those of us who spoil our babies, this product is a definite purchase!

My chihuahua got to where he would not eat anything, we even tried making his food. He is so picky and only weighs 3lbs, so he really has to eat!! We got this and he is so happy to eat every day, in fact I am gonna have to start feeding him twice a day!

My dog is a fan of the Beef Recipe. I was only feeding Iams and my dog had started to develop allergies on her stomach. She began to constantly lick. So I have removed as many allergens in her environment and in her food as I can. I switched to Merrick dry dog food, with the Backcountry Beef as a topper. Her skin is much less inflamed in only a few short weeks. My vet said whatever I was doing was working. I feel she is benefiting from a raw diet that is more natural to what a dog should eat. Not fruits and vegetables and grains. I also switched out her treats to raw duck hearts and Merrick Beef sausage treats.My only negative in this review is that it sure is pricey. But heck a hamburger in some restaurants today is $13.00!

This product turns into dust very easily. My dog doesn't seem to like it anymore.

I love this!! My dogs love it crumbled over the top of their food and as a little treat. I wI'll also be trying the other flavors.

This is made with tiny bite-sized pieces of beef, which makes it easy for my 5lbs Maltese with no teeth left to eat. The first bag I received was fresh and the dry food rehydrated quickly. Subsequent bags seem to be an older product and the pieces of beef literally take an hour to soften. I think there must be quality control issues for this company.

I add this to my dogs dry kibble daily and they both love it. When I forget to add it they don't each their kibble.

The only problem is it’s not a bigger bag!! 🤭👍🏻
