Fix my AC
Original capacitor lasted about 3 years (Carrier) and wouldn't start my fan. I could go outside and spin it myself to get it started but once the house was cool it wouldn't spin again upon start up. I would just keep the AC off until night and then start it to cool the house down before going to bed. Take a picture of the wires before you install just in case you forget. Don't touch the leads on the top of the capacitor because you can get quite a shock. Easily installed and back up and running.

Perfect replacement!
This capacitor is a perfect replacement and got my A/C up and going in minutes, yet I must elaborate. This marks the second purchase of this item in five-ish years and makes me wonder how long they should last, however, I expect that I would have seen many more years of use had a pair of little lizards (yep, I live in Florida) not crawled on top of it and arched their bodies across the exposed lugs. Go figure!

My old capacitor had bulging on the top with oil leaking so it was pretty obvious that it needed replacing
Fixed my A/C. Fan would start initially but then would just shut down. Furnace blowing room temp air.My old capacitor had bulging on the top with oil leaking so it was pretty obvious that it needed replacing. The diameter of this one was less than my old one so I just bent the old bracket around this one to figure out where to drill a new hole in the bracket so that it would fit snug in the unit. Took 5 minutes. Less than $15... Cold air!

Smaller diameter than original.
Had installed on my heat pump roughly 6 years ago, and still working; the original only lasted about 4 years.

Like OEM part only better for price value
Fan stopped turning on my condenser, sometimes it would start but then freeze.HVAC tech tried to say it was the fan motor, he would fix for $600. Entertained quotes for new HVAC at $17,000.Then bought this capacitor for around $11.00 and replaced it after doing more research. HVAC is back from the dead.Part has been stable for two months and holding. Best $11 bucks I've spent.

Solved my problem and got the part in 36 hrs.
Just learned via YouTube how to solve a problem I've had with my AC for 2 years. It has only been 2 days but the AC has been working perfectly with the replacement of this capacitor.

Direct replacement for older AC unit
I couldn't believe an AC tech wanted to charge almost $200 to replace the part (after I did all the diagnostics, troubleshooting and meter testing). No place local had them in stock and one place (an hour away) won't sell to anyone that isn't a certified tech. This arrived in 3 days and was installed in less than 10 minutes. A year later and it's still going strong. No complaints here.

Fixed my Carrier Air Conditioner
This capacitor replaced the original capacitor on my Carrier AC Model# CA13NA024-F outdoor unit. It was an exact fit for it. The capacitor (HERM) for the compressor was bad and would not start the compressor. The capacitor for the fan worked so the fan would start but the compressor wouldn't. You could not hear the compressor start-up. I tested both capacitors in this single capacitor unit with my capacitance meter. The capacitor for the compressor read 36.6 nanofarads when it should have read near 36.5 microfarads. The fan capacitor read 4.89 microfarads which indicated it was still good. The new capacitor for the compressor read 37.5 microfarads and the capacitor for the fan read 5.12 microfarads. Note: do not touch or remove the capacitor from the AC unit without disconnecting power to the unit and discharging the capacitors.
