Wow. Quiet and powerful fan! Shop no further, this is the one. TL;DR @ bottom
Was in the market for a new tower fan and wanted something a bit quieter but with good flow rate. People swear by Honeywell but my QuietSet has been a piece of trash and tips over if you even look at it wrong. I inherited my Lasko from a roommate and it's a great fan that can really take a beating. Looked at several brands (Dyson TP07, etc. included) and was told the best to look for is something with a DC motor. Dreo is one of few manufacturers (at least on Amazon) that makes a DC-motor tower fan.I primarily use tower fans for sleep but also in my living room if I get warm on the couch. I like the consistent air flow they provide and I generally find them better for cooling my bed and sheets. I also wanted something that you could completely turn the display lights off while sleeping. Some manufacturers have a sleep mode that dims the light but that mode also gradually turns the fan speed down and turns off. Noise isn't a biggie but I wanted something reasonably quieter than my jet-engine Honeywell because I was waking up with literal ear pain from the ruckus. Was deciding between the Dreo Pilot Pro and Pilot Max. I wanted the smart version of the Pilot Max for the Alexa integration but it's not sold on Amazon (only the non-smart version) and is sold out on the Dreo website. Couldn't see the advantage of paying an extra $30 for the Pilot Max over the Pilot Pro so I bought that instead. It's a DC-motor tower fan, 42" height, and good reviews but doesn't seem to have a dimming light button/setting. I thought I'd give it a try anyways and just tape over the display if needed.Setup was very easy. You just snap two pieces together to form the base and you twist it at the base of the tower column and that's it. Plugged the power supply in and turned it on.WOW. At fan speed #5, this thing blows my Honeywell out of the water. Not even close. It even beats my Lasko at delivering a more consistent column of air. Don't expect this thing to be whisper quiet at #5+ but it is a nice improvement over Honeywell QuietSet. Under #5 though this really is very quiet. The remote is very nice as well as it has discrete +/- buttons for fan speeds so you don't have to cycle through each speed until you find the right one.But I was dreading going to sleep that night only to be disappointed by the blinding display... after a few minutes of enjoying the air, I looked up and the lights automatically turn off!!! You don't even have to worry about turning the dumb display lights off! Dreo should update this in the product title/description because I think more people would buy this if they knew the lights auto-dim.So if you want something quiet, especially for your bedroom and sleep time, that dims the light *automatically*, with high flow rate, this is the fan for you. I will be buying a second one for my living room (hopefully the smart Pilot Max) and keeping my Lasko for a backup (it will probably outlive me).TL;DR: Look no further, this fan is a great price and works flawlessly (lights auto-dim completely).

Very cooling!
The media could not be loaded. Power through a hot summer with the Dreo Oscillating Tower Fan with Remote. This tower fan features 9 speeds, an adjustable airflow direction and a timer to provide you with cooling control and customized comfort. The oscillating fan head moves from side to side, allowing it to spread cool relief around the room. A remote control is included for easy operation from anywhere in the room and a convenient carry handle makes it easy to transport from room to room.Fans are an essential tool to have in the home. Whether you’re worried about the summer heat or the winter chill, a fan is a must-have piece of technology that comes with a variety of features. Having owned this tower fan for over 3 years I believe I can safely say whether it’s good or not. So, let’s take a deep dive into this fan and see if it’s worth your time, energy or money. The Dreo’s tower fan offer a lot of benefits: They're tall and thin, so they don't take up much space, and they tend to be quieter than window air conditioners or noisy pedestal fans.● Oscillating head & top-mounted controls allow you to cool off quickly and feel great.● Our high-velocity, multi-directional fan with a fresh ionized-flow system cools or heats the room naturally, with no noise and minimal energy use.● The slim design is ideal for smaller rooms, or use it as a secondary fan in the corner of your room while you sleep.● The 24W DC motor makes for whisper-quiet operation.,The Oscillating Tower Fan is a compact, quiet and efficient fan that will keep you cool on hot and humid days. Place the fan in your bedroom, living room or any other area that needs cooling down.It comes with a remote control for easy operation even when you are seated or lying in bed. You can adjust the settings of the fan as well as turn it on and off using the remote control, which makes it convenient to change the settings of your fan without having to get up.It keeps air circulating, so no one area gets too hot. The fan is also quiet when in operation, which means it will not distract you while you work or get some sleep. This fan requires very little energy to operate and has been designed with energy efficiency in mind. It is also lightweight and portable, so you can easily carry it from one room to another if needed.Performance and UseThe design is simple yet elegant, and the remote control makes it easy to operate from anywhere within a room. The relatively low height and the oscillation angle are both drawbacks, but they're outweighed by the fact that this is a high quality tower fan at an affordable price. The oscillating feature works well and provides good coverage for my living room (about 400 sq ft). You can also turn off the oscillation feature, if desired. On the highest setting, however, I found that there is some slight wobble in the fan itself. The tower fan is lightweight and made of plastic and while this makes it easy to move around, I suspect this contributes to the slight wobble. It doesn't interfere with functionality - just looks a bit odd. When it comes to noise level, this tower fan is relatively quiet - even on high speed. I'm happy with its performance for home use.Lightweight and PortableMy husband and I were looking for a fan that would cool down the room and circulate the air. We wanted one that was lightweight and portable so we could move it from one room to another as needed. We were impressed with how quiet this fan was and how easy it was to assemble.Small but powerful, this tower fan is perfect for personal use or for a small office space. It's lightweight, so it's easy to move from room to room. The remote control makes it convenient to operate, and the oscillating function helps to circulate air throughout a larger area. It's also very quiet and doesn't disturb conversations or phone calls. I've had a few people ask me what kind of fan I have because they want one just like it!Whisper QuietThis is an excellent little fan. It is not very tall, but has a great oscillation feature and can be adjusted to different angles, so it works well as a small room fan. I love the remote control function and the different settings on it. The timer is a great feature as well. It's very quiet, so it can be used in a home office or bedroom without disrupting your work or sleep.

Fabulous fan! You won’t regret buying it.
I’ve had this for several years and it is still powerful and absolutely silent. With 10 speeds and the choice to oscillate or not, you can always find exactly the right breeze for the moment. I appreciate it’s space saving design in my small guest room. I should get commission on this. More than one guest has gone on to purchase this fan on Amazon after staying at my house. It’s great!

Great fan with modern design and EXCELLENT customer service!
This is now my second DREO fan, and right now I'm enjoying the nice cool breeze of the natural setting as I write this review. It was very easy to set up and connect to my wi-fi. The app also functions great, but if you prefer not to use it, it comes with a remote that also has its own little stowaway nook on the fan for when you need to store it. The fan is powerful, but very quiet - it's just loud enough for you to enjoy a little white noise if that's your thing! I also like the sleek and modern appearance, and as someone who has spent more time than I care to admit scrubbing out fan blades with a pipe cleaner, I am so happy about the easy-to-clean design. This was actually the third fan the company had to send me - there was an issue with the oscillation functionality on the first fan, and after some trouble shooting, Carol at DREO put an order for a replacement to be shipped. They were so helpful and responsive. I am very happy with the fan and the customer service.
