Drew Pritchard is the face of TV’s ‘Salvage Hunters’ programmes. This is the story of his life from wayward childhood in North Wales to becoming one of Britain’s leading antique dealers.It’s a roller coaster journey charting the ups and downs of both his business and personal life. It rather hops around the timeline at times and leaves one or two dangling threads, but overall offers a fascinating insight into both the man and his world. What shines through all of it is an obvious passion for what he does and a love of beautiful objects.

Book did not have a lot of insight into the author. The book was a running commentary of episodes of the show which although interesting, i would have liked more of a life story of author.

Weather you are a fan of Salvage Hunters or not this book is a great read. I finished reading this book in record time and was captivated from beginning to end. I am fascinated by people who are experts in their field and Drew certainly belongs in that category. I had respect for Drew before i read the book, now having read the book i am completely in awe. This is an uplifting story of a man who was determined to get to the top of his game. It just shows you that in life if you have the desire and passion you can really go places. It was also a comfort to me that Drew has done all of this whilst battling with panic attacks and anxiety. A sufferer myself it was a help to see how Drew cope's and very helpful to get a deeper understanding of the condition. Well done Drew on completing a really good book. Salvage Hunters has been running for over ten years and i really hope that there will be more seasons in the future. Reading this book and watching Salvage Hunters has really helped me get through this lockdown.

Just started but already hooked if you like watching the tv show this is a must have

As a big fan of his shows, salvage hunters; salvage hunters the restorers; classic cars, I was eager to find out more about Drew Pritchard. Drew here has written and produced a lovely read which talks about his early years, his battles with his father and many more instances. From reading this it has shown me that little bit extra about Drew, and how he built up a business to lose nearly everything and go on to what he has achieved again. This is nicely written and a good read.

Watched the show since the beginning so of course I thought I knew Drew and much of what I read was familiar but so much more background information to events.Very honest, particularly about his marriage break down, other issues he has had I wasn't aware of, I won't spoil it by saying what they were.Also of interest was his business philosophy and drives plus just how deep his knowledge and passion runs, of course it comes out on screen but the book gives a deeper understanding of it.Only slightly irksome thing was when you think you still have lots of pages left to read only to find pages of photographs and the detailed index, always annoys me.

I am an avid fan of the tv programmme,and this gave me an insight into how DREW started his business. He wandered off a bit into his passion for cars which did not interest me ,but he is very passionate about this side of his life so I indulged him a little. Overall I enjoyed the book but would have liked some photographs of the objects that he had bought and resold.

Extremely interesting insight into Drew Pritchard's background and how he developed his interest in antiques and high-end classic cars. There can only be a few such driven characters who have made fortunes, lost them, and clawed their way back so successfully. I'd like to read Book Two, concentrating on classic cars, if he ever writes it! The behind the scenes low down on the television elements of his successful career also proved interesting and enlightening. Please keep entertaining us Drew Pritchard as the story continues to roll out.
