This spinner is made of durable plastic for the shafts and the spinners. There's an anchor that you can push/hammer into the ground, and then the shaft simply slides into the anchor. That's a lot nicer than some of our less expensive spinners that just have a sharpened wooden shaft which has rotted at the bottom over time. The spinner and tail are made from a nylon material, so I expect that they will last quite a while, too. The spinners do not require a lot of wind to start spinning, and the tail allows it to follow the direction of the wind, much like an old windmill. My son loves to watch this as it's so responsive to the wind as well as very colorful. I highly recommend this.

This ended up being a Mothers Day gift because it was perfect for my mother!!! I had ordered it to put in the back yard to scare away deer that tend to eat my flowers. When it arrived, it was way bigger than I had expected, I guess I didnt look too close at the measurements, and I knew I couldnt put it in my back yard, because it would be stolen on the first night!! We dont have a fence, hence the deer problem, and it was too colorful and pretty to miss. We have prankster teens in our neighborhood who like to take lawn ornaments for fun and I knew this would be a goner in no time. My mother does not have this problem, and she loves these types of things. The bigger the better. ( I had thought of putting it in my front yard, but our front yard is small and it was just too big. ) She loved it and it is now in her front yard. I see it every time I visit. Good Purchase

This is our second spinner. Purchased the first in 2011 and it has spun for 8 years through wind and rain and snow, adding color to the yard while showing wind direction and even keeping the coons out of our garden. The original was getting a little worn looking, so we purchased this new one. So glad they are still being made.

I have purchased three of these pinwheels for outdoor use over the course of c. 15 years, and have found them to be well-constructed and clearly durable n outdoors settings. For those who like bright colors, the aesthetic is a very pleasing one. A good value for the money

I purchased this in the beginning of the Summer and had our lawn guy put it together and install it, which took only a few minutes. It works great. I just adore color and this really colors nicely in the wind. Also, it has a sail on the back to tell you which way the wind is blowing from, sort of like a weather vane. I forgot to take it in when we had Hurricane Irene and it was only bent down a bit which we had fixed. It is still working great. Once the Fall is over it will come in and be ready for next year. Makes home even home ee er. (IF you will) :) Rain or alot of wind does not harm it. It still looks like the day we got it.

I've been looking for pinwheels to put on my son's grave site so I know where he is right when I drive in to the cemetery. I've many that does not last but so far this has been the best of all. My son's site can be a very windy area and it rains frequently there as well and this pinwheel has been lasting through those rough weathers. The color has not faded despite being expose to the sun a lot. It's been there for over a month now and there are no signs of wear and tear in it. My 2 year old messes with it when we're there and it's been withstanding her too! I'm so glad I've been able to find this product!

hallo, nach zwei jahren am first löst sich vermeindlich uv beständige superwindspiel auf.... also leute so was müsst ihr nicht kaufen.... zumal es ja recht teuer für so einen mist ist. vielleicht geeignet im kinderzimmer.... eher windschwache gegend
