Sound Tiles That Are Effective on a Budget!
I'm a voiceover guy and a Digital Music Producer. I'm in the process of building an actual vocal booth, but in the interim, I have everything set up super-temporary in one of the bedrooms. I needed a way to quickly deaden the bedroom. I didn't need to soak this foam to get it to expand. I let it sit out for about 2 days before I started stacking them. What you see in the pics has not had adhesive applied. They're just stacked on top of each other. I have them leaning against coarse plywood and paneling at an angle, as well as a couple of mattresses. The foam actually "cures" in like 3-4 weeks. Meaning, The black tiles actually become a dark charcoal color, and the purple tiles turn to a dark purple, almost like a plum color. The foam also becomes very porous, which is nice. It's hard to see that in the pics, but you can tell the difference in time from the two separate orders. Some of the newer tiles are starting to cure, so it's all good. This is good foam for the cost. I would recommend and purchase again!

Decent product, clever packaging
When one receives the shipment for this product, one is astounded with how small and heavy the box is. Inside, there are several vacuum-sealed pouches. Once opened, the 12" x 12" panels inside each pouch begin to expand to the specified size. For 100% full expansion of every piece, this takes about an hour or so.As others have noted, they have a synthetic/chemical odor to them, at least at first. I would recommend that prior to final installation, the end user should lay the panels out on a large, well-ventilated area, such as a garage floor or an attic, and allow them to air out for at least a day or two. This will allow for maximum expansion and off-gassing.Once fully constituted, these panels are well suited for their intended purpose, which is to soak up high frequency early reflections in a sound recording environment. Acoustic foam, be it very inexpensive types like this, or pricier, name-brand panels, are NOT "sound proofing" materials in ANY sense. Midrange and low end frequencies go right through them as if they aren't even there. Acoustic foam ONLY tames the high end of the audio spectrum. So long as the buyer understands basic audio physics and maintains realistic expectations for a product such as this bundle of panels, they are a good value. These panels would be ideal for treating the early reflection points of a home studio mixing environment or treating the walls and ceiling of a small vocal booth. In both applications the intended goal is simply to absorb high end frequencies so they do not create false mix perceptions, in the case of treating a mixing area, or give away the boxy, claustrophobic sound stage of a small project recording booth. If absorption of low or midrange frequencies are required, these panels will do nothing. For those applications, rigid fiberglass or mineral wool panels would be 1000x more effective. These panels will only attenuate the very highest end of the audio spectrum. So long as the buyer understands these limitations, this product represents a great value.

Dampens the noise
Finally got enough! Reduces the noise well from both directions, better reduces from the inside out. if you want sound "Proofing" spend the read money. This was perfect for my music/podcast studio. Took a minute for the smell to dissipate. I opened them and let them rest for 24 hours before installing them. Looks good and is functional to dampen my noise to where I don't disturb the rest of the house with my instruments or podcast antics!

These are nice quality and well made. I am impressed with the quality.
I just ordered a second set of these to cover more of the wall. The first set was well made. No color variations or chunks missing from the foam. I would not say these are durable. But they are stylish and well made.

Amazing product for the price
I ordered 100 of them. They are really good and create a very noticeable difference in acoustic quality. They remove and kill reverb and hum. They are not for soundproofing. These 2" ones are much better than the 1" ones that I got for even more money! I plan on buying about 200 more of these. They are great, I am very happy with my purchase.

these are full sized 12x12x12 panels- wow I am very haply with these
I have to be hones and say i was not to hopeful about this bulk package, for it being so many panels in one set. With the price being a bit over a hundred dollars, it did seem right though possibly not expensive enough, when compared to the price of a dozen of similar foam panels form other brands. I am super happy to say this bulk pack delivers the goods, with all of the panels being thick and not the super thin kind that I thought might be in there. I have been ordering foam panels for a few years with this being my second wind. I had lost interest living half of my living room foamed out. I now am motivated again due to bulk packages like this one. As for the super thin kind just mentioned, there has been many strike outs with those.Another nice thing about this pack is there are not any dud panels that are cut differently. There is of course some excess foam pieces that appear occasionally, though there is never a mis-cut, just extra. I was very impressed with how these were packed super tight in a vacuum sealed bag within an another tightly wrapped material. They fully formed out in less than five minutes and were ready to be mounted to the wall. I like how these are thick but still lightweight enough to be stuck to the ceiling, with just a bit of glue gun glue on each of the four corners, then in the middle. I can say for sure these work nicely because i have a home studio and could tell the difference easily after these panels were installed. To summarize, I am very happy with this pack of panels and recommend them for home studio purposes, or for basic sound absorption needs.

Take a while to expand, but work fine
They take like a week to fully expand, but are decently thick once expanded. The adhesive isn’t great, so I just stapled these to my wall.
