Ordered two, one was damaged when I got them. Replacement came quickly in perfect condition!

They are fine. I wish the openings were a little bigger but can't seem to find them anywhere.

I was going to use this product for a dogfood dish for my pug, to replace one that broke. It works great for a pug faced dog.It was too small, however. 6 inches just isn't big enough.

I like this product and I prefer the version made out of white china to the stainless steel. The price is great, the only thing I do not like that it is made in China (we simply import too much from there and the other reason is that I am afraid with Chinese products that there are problems like with the Chinese drywall or toys, otherwise I would have given it five stars). You can not only use it with snails, but also for lobster bites, shrimp, large scallops, etc. Cut a lobster tail into small pieces and cook them in butter with herbs, sea salt, a lot of freshly minced garlic, and herbs (or use scallops and large peeled shrimp). Warm the plates in the oven and place the lobster bites and cover them with the garlic butter. Serve with French bread.

I have two other sets of escargot dishes. One has the "onion soup bowel" handle and is hollow with a breathing hole so dishwater can get into the inside cavity - not good!. They will now go to the garbage. My second set is close to this one but has smaller recesses for the escargot and that's okay for escargot only but they can't be used for stuffed mushrooms as an alternate dish which I can't imagine if you like escargot you would be opposed to, so they will be thrown away also.I have four of these and trust me.... they will get plenty of use in my Snowbird group in Yuma.If you buy some of these and you do not like them (can't imagine that), attach a reply to this and I will buy them off you for a slightly reduced price or hey! maybe you would like a set of my other ones in trade?This is a "can't go wrong" purchase.

These plates are excellent. Just what I was looking for. BUT as many others have said one of the plates arrived broken. As you can see from many reviews this is a common problem. I saw this but I figured that since the plates were to be fulfilled by amazon it would be OK. WRONG. So I have arranged to return the broken plate at Amazon's expense for a refund. Still a PITA as I needed 6 of them not 5 and now I will have to buy another and pay for shipping again since Amazon refuses to simply ship me another at no charge.

I ordered a pair of these, and one had a small chip on the foot- not enough to bother with a return, especially given the abuse I put cookware through, but if you need them to be pristine, be aware that you may need to send one back (true of all mail-order fragiles, though, eh?). The wells are deep enough for good-sized snails, but not so deep as to become bottomless butter pits like some of the others I've looked at. They're also nice and heavy, so overall I'm pretty satisfied and my yard is almost entirely snail-free.

This dish is hearty & durable, absolutely perfect for baking escargot. I had looked for one in local cooking shops but this was delivered quickly and works well. Easy clean up too!
