This works well but, it does make me cough (and choke) when I'm using it - even when wearing a mask. I can't imagine how bad this would be without one. It does not foam - at least I don't wait around to see if it will. It does the job, but so well, it killed half of my Japanese maple. ( I suspected this was causing the root issue - now I know for sure.) In light of all this, I will continue to use this product. I'm sure it's saved me from a big plumber's bill.

Plumber said we had tree roots in pipe. Wanted $22,000 to fix it. This product worked well and saved us a ton of money. Will be buying this on a continuing bases.

I wasn't sure if this actually worked due to a lot of rain around the time I used it. I could only tell a difference after first use when I put it directly down the outside access to my sewage lines.

I would post a picture of my toilet when I dump in this root killer, but I'm not going to do that for obvious reasons... I have had a bad problem with a neighbors tree growing roots into my sewage pipe, and this has been going on for several years. I would buy the traditional root killers from hardware stores, but they cost upwards of 30-40 dollars a bottle for a single application, and it was really hurting my wallet. I've purchased this root killer several times, after reading the reviews and also reviewing the ingredients, and it seems to be essentially the same thing, just in a larger quantity. I've purchased this item several times, and have had no issue with roots since. I will say that it does not smell great, definitely use it in a well ventilated space if you can open a window or turn on a vent fan. It also thickens very quickly, which is great, but be sure to follow the instructions on use to be sure it doesn't clog your toilet. Start slow, and build up from there, that is what I did and now I know exactly how much my drain needs and I have zero complaints about this product.
