Catches bugs better than a spider!
Love it , comes in handy during the summer just remember to order extra sticky pads. It was very easy to set up. A good bang for buck. Next to my bug zapper , it works great inside.

Catches pests well and is easy to use
Purchased to rid home of fungus gnat invasion caused by indoor plant soil infestation. Works well. Put on a timer plug to come on at night when blue lighting most attractive to insects. Very sticky and catches larger house flies as well as gnats.

Works well, but not for phorid flies. Simple setup.
It definitely catches multiple types of flies of various sizes, but doesn't "attract" phorid flies, (aka scuttle flies, humpback flies, or coffin flies). While it has caught a couple, they aren't attracted to UV, but they sometimes seem to congregate near my windows during the day, if anything to inspect the area as they do not stay for long. It works, but not for everything. Setup was simple. Quality is decent. Good product. Brighter than I originally thought. If you want to get rid of phorid flies, the best way to remove them or prevent them from taking your home for residence would be to keep your apartment clean. Find any sitting water (fridge drip pan, bottom dishwasher trap). Remove trash often (get a smaller can), find any left out food that has been rotting (this includes onions or garlic on the counter thats left in a bag - from personal experience). Seal trash with a tie or clamp, clean litter boxes often, etc.

Works around guinea pigs
I plugged this into the outlet right behind my fruit bowl because the kitchen was starting to look like a tiny airport for gnats. It emits a soft blue light that successfully lures in every single winged intruder within forty-eight hours without any chemical smell. The sticky card was a breeze to swap out, ahah, even though the plastic housing felt a little flimsy when I snapped it into place. For the price of a fancy latte, it actually solved a problem that's been driving me crazy for weeks.

READ my review....
**Use this Plug-In Fly Trap in conjunction with BIO-CLEAN (see my photos, sold by another seller) and you will have 90% to 100% success in eliminating drain flies... and your sanity will return! I purchased the Plug-In Fly Trap for a small bathroom where I have been battling drain flies for 5+ years! I am using it in conjunction with the BIO-CLEAN product.** READ BELOW.... When I tell you I have used 5+ OTC products PLUS several do it yourself remedies and concoctions for drain flies, none of which worked well, not exaggerating. I even clean out the tub trap and use a small snake-like tool to remove anything in the drain thinking that could be a breeder issue. Initially I treated all drains for the flies, even the washer drain, until I figured out the exact problem area. No water source area was not treated. I even bought a tiny little scrub brush on a snake that goes down into the drain lines. Still had drain flies. Finally.... using duct tape, taped down over the drains, that is how I finally figured out where the problem area was, where they were flying out of getting stuck on the tape. Now that I knew where.....over the past 5+ years I have poured huge pots of boiling water down the tub/shower drain, repeating daily for a few days. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have used vinegar mixed with baking soda, repeating daily for days. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have poured a cup of bleach (the thick no-splash gel kind) at a time down the drains, waiting a few hours then rinsing with hot water. Did this for several days in a row. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have used powerful drain cleaners/chemicals for clogged drains, even though my drain works at 100%. Helped, but still seeing them daily; I have spent A LOT OF MONEY purchasing various liquid pre-mixed drain cleaners ADVERTISED FOR DRAIN FLIES here on Amazon. Sometimes treating 2 weeks at a time, daily, sometimes twice daily. Helped, but still seeing multiples daily. FINALLY I HEARD ABOUT THIS PRODUCT - BIO CLEAN. RUN and get yourself some, quickly, if you have drain flies! THIS is the only drain fly product that really works, however not 100%. Use it overnight for about 2 weeks straight. Do not use water for about 8 hrs in that drain. After you get rid of them, or most, use 1x a week as maintenance. Most days I see a fly when I turn the water on, flying out of the drain, or on the shower wall or even in the toilet. Sometimes in other areas of the condo, like at my computer screen. Not 1-2 dozen a day anymore, just 1 or 2 a day most days, and not the larger ones, usually the smaller gnat-like flies. I am convinced I will never be totally rid of them, even with all I am doing, and using BIO-CLEAN weekly. There is something way down in that drain pipe that is the culprit. NOW.... since I plugged this light in the bathroom a week ago, it is catching most of those stragglers (see photo). If you have drain flies you must clean out the enzymes in all your drains with a enzyme cleaning product, do it time to time (weekly if needed, or monthly as a preventative) as routine maintenance, especially the problem drains. Enzymes is what drain flies feed on. *I gave the Plug-In Fly Trap 2 stars for "value for money".... $17.97 is very costly for this product and refills are a bit expensive. Now that I know there are plug-in products with a UV LED light fro this problem, I will shop around.

Quietly Effective Fly Control Without Harsh Chemicals
I picked up the Safer Home Indoor Plug-In Fly Trap during peak gnat season, and it’s been running non-stop in my kitchen ever since. In just a couple of weeks, the glue card was completely covered, which tells me two things: (1) it works, and (2) I probably had way more gnats and fruit flies hanging around than I realized. Performance It attracts gnats, fruit flies, and even the occasional housefly, all without any sprays or chemical smell. The light glows softly (not too bright, so you can comfortably keep it in a kitchen or living room without it being distracting), and the adhesive card quietly collects the pests. No zapping sound, no odor—just a steady, silent solution. Ease of Use Setup is literally plug-and-play. Slide in the glue card, plug it into an outlet, and forget about it until you notice the card filling up. Replacing the cards is simple, though I recommend doing it every 2–3 weeks depending on how bad your insect issue is. Pros: • Actually catches gnats and fruit flies quickly • Pet- and people-safe, no toxic sprays or fumes • Silent and discreet—no ugly traps hanging from the ceiling • Cards are easy to replace Cons: • Refills are necessary, so it’s an ongoing cost • Doesn’t eliminate the problem at the source (still need to address drains, fruit bowls, etc.) • Works best in darker areas, so don’t expect max results in direct sunlight Verdict If you’re tired of chasing gnats around your fruit bowl or worrying about flies landing on food, this trap is worth it. It won’t replace good cleaning habits, but as a maintenance tool, it makes your home feel cleaner and bug-free without extra effort.

Plugs are US plugs so has to buy converters and then they don’t stop the bugs

This device caught all kinds of pesky flying bugs on my trip North. The sticky pad was black by the time I returned home. No flying bugs at night while I was reading my ereader or around the fruit bowl or mysteriously biting me ( no see ums).

Me gusta porque atrapa los mosquitos de la fruta, pero nunca a caído un zancudo y menos una mosca, pero aún así me a servido.
