KqiangFlush Hood Latch and Pin Kit, Universal Quick-Release Lock Hood Pin Latch Set

Its a decent set, not as flimsy as people say, im mechanically inclined but i rated it a 3 for those who aren’t especially when i comes to lining it up. I installed this on a e36 and used the original hood latch points so all i really had to do was cut into the hood. Dont over tighten because you will indeed crack the plastic. All in all itll get the job done just take your time.

I can’t explain how this exactly is but it’s just hella flimsy

Needed this for my off-road rig. Install took longer than we expected. Once installed the hood pins were not sturdy at all. While off-roading the pin broke that holds the hood down. I would definitely recommend buying the name brand version of this. Save your self the time and energy.

The latch was of poor quality

Broke one the suns heat made it really brittle for the price you can’t go wrong just be careful when closing

This lock looks great in the picture. Looks sturdy and well made. That all went out the window as soon as I saw it in hand. Lightweight cheap plastic that warps with the slightest pressure. The locking mechanism needs a lot of work. Not even flush with itself when locked. Don’t look for these cheaper versions, you get what you paid for, although, the price on these isn’t really that cheap. Either spend the extra money on the real deal or look for a different style. The locking mechanism is stiff and feels weak also.
