Great Leadership Training Tool
I purchased over 20 books for my veterinary team members that are in Leadership positions or wanting to explore Leadership positions in our veterinary hospitals. Also, I gave this as a Graduation Gift to my niece who is a brand new veterinarian! This book is easy to read, has practical current information which our teams finds helpful. I highly recommend this book to you if you want a fresh look at what Veterinary Leadership looks like and incorporate these good ideas into your team. This book fits our core value of continuous self improvement at Tampa Veterinary Hospital and Highland Pet Hospital.

Love the Downloads!
I highly recommend that you purchase Leading and Managing Veterinary Teams! For me, it felt like a newer approach to veterinary management that focused on clinic culture, team building and training. It brought to light the challenges that veterinary medicine have had throughout the pandemic. For example short staffing and how to train during those times. Also, I am still in awe that Dr. Donnelly herself answered her phone provided on her website! I was having difficulty downloading the content and she walked me through the process! Thank you for this masterpiece and for your help and kindness on the phone today! I hope to hear you speak at a conference soon!

Finally a practical book for veterinary managers that is applicable for our current challenges
This is a very practical and useful book for managers to help overcome the current challenges of team culture, team retention and engagement, turnover, and how to be proactive and follow set goals despite the never-ending small fires that pop up in every practice. It is well written and structured and provides immediate tools to help managers build a solid foundation that they can lead from.It starts by clarifying and stating the foundation for being an effective leader and manager and then breaks down the essential areas of a veterinary practice and how to achieve functional systems in each. Our hospital has utilized many of these strategies and I can attest that we have weathered the last two years of covid with a harmonious, dedicated team, double-digit revenue growth, a solid and clear mission, and doctors and team members that are enjoying their profession and looking forward to coming to work. This book is a must-have for every veterinary manager!

Comprehensive!
As a veterinarian who has been in the profession for 40 years and have owned several practices and now act as a consultant on practice management, this is the most comprehensive treatise on veterinarian practice management that I have ever read. I feel that it should be required reading for every practice owner (associates too) and Hospital Managers (and most employees for that matter). The book covers a lot of ground, in an organized, easy to read format. Most veterinarians do not have a business background, this book will help you get to the top of the class to help improve your everyday practice life and more importantly your bottom line. It will be be required reading for the people I consult with, and my only regret is that I didn't have the book when I bought my first practice. Job well done!
