Q: How often should the hummingbird feeder be cleaned?

I clean mine every time I refill it, which varies with the temperature outside. During the hottest of our summer months we are 90-100 degrees and I do it daily and clean it daily at that point. During the spring when it cooler about 70 I do it every 3 days at 80 degrees I do it every other day. We typically have a very low humidity where I live so I don’t usually get mildew build up in those timeframes

It is very easy to take apart and clean.

Q: Can this hummingbirds feeder really attract birds?

Yes, I have many hummingbirds and I like that they have a place to sit and look around. They will drink but then look around. I enjoy my feeder and it’s easy to clean.

Q: The ants can be kept out?

Yes, if you keep the moat full of water, I also put cinnamon oil in the moat and I found that helps with the bees. You do need to check the moat and keep it full. Every once in a while I would find the odd ant in there, but nothing like I used to find.
