The book i sin GREAT condition. I can't tell if it was used at all before.The actual content is informative, to the point, and casually written. So far, just a chapter in. I may update this review with a higher/lower rating when I finish reading it.

Very informative. This book has helped me grow better herbs and I am working on vegetable now. I would highly recommend this book for it's in depth instruction. It gives month by month information for all zones. Great little book!

I didn't realize this was written with UK people in mind. So if you're outside of the UK you'll have a little homework and possibly some guesswork to do depending upon where you are.That said, I really do like this book. I like the way she's really clear about what you should be doing each month. Great for beginners like me who need a lot of hand-holding.She goes into a lot of detail about upcycling/recycling materials, which is great, but she doesn't say much at all for what one can do when one is in need of LARGE pots. So I do wish there was more info on that. I also wish there was more info on the US as well.Overall, this is a great book, and I definitely recommend the purchase if you're sort of new to this whole urban gardening thing or if you're just not happy with your production. I'm 2 years in and not thrilled with the output of my 70 (supposed to be food-bearing) plants.

I'd really recommend this book for anyone who is looking to get started growing in containers. It's the perfect introduction if you've never gardened before - this book never talks down to you or assumes that you have any knowledge - it's like learning from a friend! It's also really useful that the book is laid out in seasons, so I often check back regularly to see what I should be doing.

Nice little book, but not really permaculture as can't really create an eco system with pots.. just a nice container gardening book with lots of tasks to do throughout the year.. bit too much 'my diary'...

Nice to have the experience of someone who already does what I am doing and have the extra ideas to help. Very understandable layout and love the seasonal plans.

Easy to read - good illustrations
