How Does Tan Through Swimwear Work? Quite simply, our unique patented Tan Through swimwear fabric contains millions of tiny square & diamond shaped holes allowing the suns tanning rays to pass through. While we know holes in fabric isn't exactly rocket science, with holes comes transparency and this is where the magic happens! To counter the transparency we design special prints that confuse the eye and camouflage the skin beneath making any transparency issues melt away like butter in the sunshine you will be lying in! The time it takes for you to tan through the Transol fabric is difficult to estimate it all depends on your skin type, melanin production in your skin, intensity of the sun and how long you spend in the sun to allow tanning to take place. Try to wear Kiniki products as often as possible and for a continuous period of time. Do I need sun protection when wearing Kiniki products? Please make sure that you wear appropriate sun protection when wearing Kiniki products. It is important to protect your skin with a suitable sun cream offering UVA & UVB protection. Can I swim in the sea or pool in my Tan through swimwear? Yes, absolutely, the fabric is not affected by sea water or the chemicals present in swimming pools, as with all swimwear we recommend it is rinsed through after use. Do I need to take special care when laundering my Tan Through swimwear? No special care is required, you can wash your tan through garment by hand or machine wash up to 40°C and whilst tumble drying will not harm the fabric, it is advisable to let your swimwear dry naturally. Size Chart Review: LOVE this bathing suit! - I LOVE this bathing suit! It is a little see-through, but the pattern seems to hide important areas to hide (even though it shows my nipple rings). I wouldn't wear it around kids, just in case, but it's fine to wear with friends. I've asked a few people if they can see through it and they said not unless they're looking for it, so it's not obvious. It does tan through just a little bit, but don't expect the same results as laying out naked, however, it does help blend in the areas that don't typically get sun. I have seen reviews that say that they're disappointed that it doesn't entirely tan you, but you're still putting fabric on your body, so it's expected for it not to tan all the way. The edges and straps are folded over fabric... just like any other piece of clothing, so yes, expect tan lines from the straps. Again, you're putting fabric on your body and since the straps are doubled over fabric, they shouldn't even be expected to tan through. I try to get around that by just moving the straps around when you're wearing the bathing suit so the straps hid different areas to try to blend in those areas that are normally covered. I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a larger size with those posting similar body sizes that I am similar to. I'm 5'2" and 135 lbs. and my bust size is a 34 full D. This top was just a hair too small, but it still looks fantastic! I think the next size up may have been too large. Review: Buy the top in a bigger size - I love the suit overall. I am a 34D/DD and ordered the 10/12 for the top. I really need the next size up. I will wear this for tanning, but it is not enough coverage to be moving around much. (laughing at myself and NOT posting a picture). This would not work for boating or activities! The 6/8 bottom fit true to my US size 6 (28 waist), I probably could have gone smaller since I will not be running the beach in this!! Overall I feel like the quality is good, all of the strings are long enough and I like the little gold bead detail on the ends. Birds of Paradise are my favorite and I never worry about someone "seeing through" my tan through suit!!
