Compact, light and very quiet centrifuge
The media could not be loaded. This device is compact and lightweight measuring only about 240 x 280 x 180 mm (W,D,H) and weighing just under 2 kg including the removable tube holders. Dimensions of the holders were 19 mm ID x 90 mm in length. All 6 holders were consistent in mass with a mean (± SD) of 8.87 ± 0.15 g.The centrifuge was reasonably well packed in a cardboard box with foam padding, but there was a slight rattle in the device as received. After opening the case, the cause was a small piece of extraneous loose plastic. After its removal all was okay.On the machine I received the speed controller did not function properly at low speed, pulsing below a nominal 2000 rpm setting and then stopping (see video clip), but the motor was smooth as the speed setting was further increased. Probably only full speed would be used for processing blood samples anyway. This centrifuge is unusually quiet. I measured about 59 decibels at a distance of 1 foot from the machine running at the maximum setting. Acceleration and deceleration was fairly quick. However, the actual speeds appeared to be lower than stated. Using two separate digital tachometers, one contact and one photo reflection, I measured an estimated speed of only about 2750 at the 4000 rpm setting. If the true speed is important, then it probably should be checked directly for confirmation. The motor does not seem to be particularly powerful but the manufacturer clearly states that this is designed for processing blood and urine samples (and in another place states it is only for blood samples). The maximum rcf given in the manual is 2086*g, presumably based on 4,000 rpm. No values for amps or watts are provided, but at full speed the centrifuge drew only 700 milliamps. The fixed angle rotor is preinstalled and is not meant to be removable. Like all other parts of this machine it is made of plastic. The internals of this centrifuge are not easy to access since it cannot be fully opened without desoldering the power switch (see photo). Disconnects would be helpful. Both the timer and speed controller are set with smooth operating knobs mounted on 10K pots. The timer is electrically controlled rather than by using a noisy mechanical timer which is nice. The maximum control time is 60 minutes, or it will run continuously if the timer is left at 0. It can be set to as little as 1 minute. One disadvantage to the timer however is that there is no indication of run time remaining. When set before starting the run, it simply shuts off the centrifuge and beeps a few times when the invisible internal timer has expired. The timer appeared to be reasonably accurate. The compact size, light weight, very quiet and rapidly accelerating motor, tight fitting transparent lid, and the low price are all definite pros. The individual positions are numbered on the rotor, although the numbers are not very distinct. As for cons, in addition to possible speed issues, the absence of any Power On indicator such as an LED is a problem in my opinion. The on/off push button on the right gives a beep when the machine is turned on, but otherwise there is no way to know if it is switched on or not. This can be an issue since if the centrifuge is switched off at the mains power button while running, restoring power will cause the device to immediately resume spinning. This could be potentially hazardous, so it is up to the user to always shut it off with the speed controller or to make certain that the speed is set to 0 before powering on. There is no safety interlock, although that would be rare in this price range. The directions state that both timer and speed controls should be set to 0 after completing each run. If the timer is used, it should be set first and then the speed gradually increased. This is certainly not a heavy duty centrifuge and there are a few limitations with it as mentioned above. However, it is very light, compact, and surprisingly quiet, and functions smoothly at full speed. I did not notice any unusual sample heating following runs of 10 to 20 minutes in length. With its size, weight and low power requirement, this might be an excellent choice if a fully portable centrifuge is needed. As shown in the video, it runs nicely when plugged into a Jackery.Overall, this is a nice little centrifuge. There are other options in this price range if a more powerful device is needed, but for the stated application this centrifuge should perform well. I liked it, although I subtracted one star for the absence of a power indicator and for the apparent inability to operate at speeds lower than about 1000 or higher than about 3000 rpm.

Got this specifically for PRP
I consider myself to be a biohacker and like to DIY a lot of stuff. I wanted a centrifuge machine for quite a while so I could use PRP with microneedling. In order to do that I needed a centrifuge so I could separate the red blood cells from the plasma. This machine doesn't come with any tubes, but I bought some 15ml centrifuge tubes with round (NOT pointed) bottoms, and they fit great.

Slides all over the place, loud
If you want to sit and hold a centrifuge while it spins then this is for you. Slides all over the place and is very loud. Return window closed by the time I needed to use it so now I’m stuck.

Waste of Money
This centrifuge doesn’t spin fast enough to separate blood serum. The timer knob appears to be a decoration. I tried two of this model. They just don’t work.

A good centrifuge, but the other digital model is way better!
The media could not be loaded. I tried this model (DL106), and the other model (DL206). I believe the other one is way better than this. This one acts weirdly, especially on low speeds. But on the range mentioned in manual, it works fine. The timer function is not working well. Missing a digital screen really makes this almost hard to trust and use. Price-wise, it’s a great option. Something is critical is the RCF values that not found on the knobs in addition to the RPM.
