Fantastic carry-on travel backpack
I did a lot of research before buying this backpack. I wanted a clamshell style that would fit certain airline (Spirit) requirements. This is extremely well made very comfortable. You can carry it with handles on different sides and the backpack straps can be put away for storage under your airline seat. It has some internal small zipper compartments as well as a small compartment at the top which is perfect for your phone sunglasses wallet etc. You will not be disappointed with the quality and practicality of this travel backpack. I use it with compression bags and it works perfectly.

Is this the true “everything” bag?
First off, being a photographer that likes to travel with a camera, and having a sling bag from PD I wasn’t surprised that I immediately liked this bag.Peak design (along with Lowepro) know how important zipper functionality is. You should be able to run the zipper one handed with little to no drag and snag. All other bag designers should follow them in lock step.Pros:- its a travel bag, a camera bag, and it’s a travel bag and camera bag.- zippers are fantastic- plenty of room for your clothes for a 4 day trip- straps tuck away- the bag conforms to hug your back even with an ipad or laptop in the sleeve.Cons:- you have to open the close compartment to get to your tablet and laptop.- It doesn’t come with the waist strap like the 45L does- because this company makes bags for photographers, I would expect more out of the tech compartment.- the shoulder straps are too thin- when fully packed the tech compartment shrinks and becomes tight to use.- you will want to use packing cubes our your clothes will shift.- it doesn’t have a quick access side zipper like its bigger brother has

Carry on delight
First of, this bag feels and looks high quality. Very durable and lightweight with functional space. Used for one bag travel on a 4 day Florida trip. Was able to stuff it and still fit it under my airline seat. The zippers are ultra smooth and easy to use. Love the top pocket for quick grab items like earbuds, powerbank, phone. Was able to fit jeans, fleece jacket, 2 compression packing cubes, tech pouch, toilet bag, Bluetooth speaker into the spacious main compartment. If you're looking for a durable, premium option for one bag travel, your search ends here with peak design.

Great bag for traveling light
This has been a fantastic backpack for traveling light. I can easily pack for 3-4 days (clothing and toiletries) plus bring two laptops alone for the ride. Could I use some more space at times? Sure, but I love the one bag lifestyle. The suitcase-like opening of the main compartment is great, too. After 6 months, the bag has held up well with no signs of wear.

30 Liter Good Travel Bag, but too many shortcomings
I recently purchased this bag for an oversea travel, as a carry-on bag travel. Although this is a great Peak Design bag, I ran into too many shortcomings during my trip.PRO: 1. Material of the bag.2. The bag is deep and is able to incorporate 2 medium size and 2 small size Peak Design compression cubes.3. The ability to stow away is backpack straps was key to my purchase decision.CON: A. Harness strap is a bust. Too difficult to put on and off. never end up using. Just needed a solid click on buckle would be better. Sometime reinventing the wheel is not necessary for a try and true system.B. No Hip Belt. The Hip Belt is an optional purchase on the smaller 30 Liter. Although I just didn't feel I needed it, given it was comfortable enough for me to bear the load of just clothing.c. The luggage pass through required me to turn 90 degrees side ways to mount through my carryon luggage handle. This presented several huge problems. First, the weight distribution with my peak design backpack, made my suitcase wobbles when pulling. Second, when i am on the plane, side way mounted bag would not fit easily in the aisle, which meant I had to carry it or wear it. Third, being sideway, made getting my laptop and travel fold out a pain. Forcing me to remove from the luggage pass through and flipping it upright. It is a small gesture, but when you are at airport security, it is not an efficient motion to quickly moves thing along.D. The external inverted flap, not exactly sure why, it is a good usable space, but as inverted, it became useless.E. Lack of tech compartment on the small bag, meant I had to carry my phone in my pocket along with my passport and boarding pass.F. The water bottle compartments are worthless when the back pack is fully loaded. I think that are should have expandable mesh material to compensate. Conclusion: Don't know about the big brother, but the small bro bag is a good bag, just not for travel for me. The bag had too many shortcomings that made traveling through the airport and plane a hassle. Unfortunately I will need to explore other options.

Best one-bag travel solution
I have been reading reviews and watching youtube in search for a one-bag travel backpack. This is among the top 3 in most reviews, and it is indeed amazing. Traveling a couple times with it, good for up to 10 days trip in tropical climates; Fits all cheap flights carry-on requirements; sleek design, great functionality

Traveled 2 weeks in Europe with this bag.
I was impressed with the durability of this bag—it’s waterproof and can handle heavy use. It has plenty of space for clothes and essentials, but I wish it had more compartments and was easier to manage on the go. If you’re backpacking and need quick access to items, this might not be the best choice due to its clamshell-style opening.
