"Cruelty free" is a marketing term with little backing it up. All ingredients in products are required to be safety tested before they can be sold to humans. Historically, lab animals have been a part of those safety studies. (As someone who has worked with lab animals in the past, I can tell you that safety studies are not done in a cruel manner and those animals are pampered.) A brand can use the term "cruelty free" if they are all using all ingredients that have already been safety tested by another, third-party company for that concentration/formulation. The product was still tested on animals at some point and by someone, even if it wasn't the company you are buying the product from directly.

Is the lotion non-comedogenic?

Our Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 is made with sensitive skin friendly ingredients, such as Zinc Oxide (10%), Titanium Dioxide (3%), and Antioxidant Vitamin E to help protect skin from surface free radicals and other environmental stressors. It also has skin softeners to lock in moisture while you’re soaking up rays. Hope that helps!
