The brackets which support the top bed frame are held by 5 very short screws. The wood slats which support the mattress are also quite fragile. *UPDATE* The seller is very responsive and worked quickly to provide me with a replacement for damaged parts. Altogether, I am pleased with this purchase and love the way it looks in my home, especially paired with a queen size bed pillow, which fits perfectly along the back. We use this as a couch every day so if you don't use it often or if you weigh very little, you might never have an issue. ---------- Also, if you don't mind a little work, I found a more permanent solution. Replace the small screws with #8-32 x 3/4 inch bolts and keep them in place with #8-32 brad hole T-nuts. These bolts go all the way through the wood, so they last longer without tearing out. (Look for a tutorial on YouTube, it is very simple.) It took us approximately 30 minutes to do this on our couch with minimal mess. We were able to put everything back together using a standard staple gun and, due to the padding on the front, you can't even tell. ---------- We built the piece in December of '23. Replaced the top front board & reinforced the support slats in March of '24. Replaced the back top frame board in June of '25.

My granddaughter loves it. Was a little tough to put together not good instructions but got it done!!

overall pretty easy to put together and looks good. its not perfect and there are some things that could have been better. better separation of bolts, locks, and washers. a couple different sizes of each but they are all together. the bolts that hold down a few support beams are longer than needed. I'm worried they will snag either the ground or the mattress on the trundle. there was one bolt that was pre-installed on a metal bar that was loose. after all this was one of the better things I've gotten off amazon that needed to be assembled. this will stay a 5 star as long as i don't have any issues with it moving forward.

Great quality! Looks exactly as pictured. The trundle bed moves out easily.

*UPDATE: In my review I mentioned that there was some discoloration on the back rest and that 6 of the bolts were too long. The customer service provided to us was excellent and timely. A partial refund was offered to cover the expense of replacing the bolts and for the discoloration. We were fine with getting the discount and keeping the back rest as is, the defect is not very noticeable once assembled and is covered by a pillow. I rate this seller 10 out of 10. Side note, I picked up 6 bolts that are 1/4 x 1-1/2 and used acorn nuts on them to provide a smooth rounded end, no worries of anything being torn when sliding the trundle in and out. Pros: Sturdy, looks nice, product is as advertised. Cons: The 6 bolts that fasten the 3 crossbeams on the top bed are too long. They stick out (see photo) and if you have a mattress that fills up the trundle height space, it will be torn as you roll the trundle in and out. I am either going to replace them with shorter bolts or cut them down. The fabric on the back rest has either a stain or discoloration on it, we have requested a replacement and are hopeful for good customer service, will report if not. The support crossbeams are solid for children or light weight adults, however, for daily use by an adult, I'd recommend adding some solid wood supports as well (another customer commented that they did this). I'm going to add 4 or 5 to both the top and the trundle. Overall we are pleased with the purchase and consider it a good value for the cost. We could have spent $200 or more and likely received one that was maybe a little more sturdy, but for a little extra spend, I can make it just as sturdy as any other that would cost more, and still save money. Other than the bolt issue, it is a great bed for children or light weight adults as is. With a little extra bolstering, good for anyone... in my opinion.

I’ve been waiting to write this review… $170 daybed with pullout trundle. If it’s that inexpensive- something is wrong- I’m old enough to know better. The daybed is made out of a cheap black plastic that looks like leather but mine was torn a bit after I got it opened and ready to put together in the room I was going to place them in before I noticed the tear. If they had ALL BEEN STILL IN A BOX- I’d have returned. Was it easy to assemble? No. Once I got the first one together - obviously #2 went a little quicker but still took some time. I bought 2 for our son’s bedroom - it’s a large room and he has more than 1 friend stay the night on occasion so I thought the pullouts would be perfect. Wrong. I purchased a 12” mattress for the top and 6” mattress for the bottom- bottom mattress DOES NOT FIT. I tried one with the curved wooden spring slats and one with only the flat slats (thinking I could just buy some more flat slats) nope still didn’t fit. I got the plainest 6” mattress I could find because I had just bought a double bed with a pull-out twin trundle and I knew how important that mattress size would be. The daybed comes in 2 boxes and each box is fairly. So you’ll also have a mattress box for top and mattress box for bottom. 4 boxes per daybed - and 2 are difficult to move alone. Once I finally did get them both put together and placed - they do look good- I’m planning on trying a black marker on that front spot but it’s not in a good spot for any kind of tape- it right between all those silver buttons in the front left arm. These things are a pain. I thought I may be getting a deal for- $170. But it is just a good price for cheap daybed and I’ll be damned if I take it apart to send it back. I’ll let it wear out and keep the mattresses for something else later on.

Mostly fit for purpose (we won't go to the trouble of returning it), but disappointed in a few areas. Shipping costs are high and this item is not worth the total cost of item & shipping. Item cost excluding shipping is appropriate. The bed feet are plastic and one had broken inside the packaging. There are plastic ends for the slats and they need finagling into the holes on the rails. Packaging was not great and looks like it had been around a while. Only basic quality of fittings to put it together. Being a competent DIY person helps. The mattress in the photo must be quite thin because the sides are really not that tall. We didn't bother putting the trundle bed portion together. It's more than 2 stars because FedEx delivered earlier than anticipated and the it works as a bed frame, but 3 stars feels too generous also.
