Catch (The Morgans of New York Book 1)

Another five star story from this extremely talented lady
Maren and her roommate Arietta live in a nice apartment in Tribeca ,it was bought for Maren by her parents and one of the stipulations that she can continue living there is that she should have a job . As Maren has recently been sacked the need to find another job very quickly so that she can remain in her lovely home . Recently though she came across a stray dog and when she finally tracks down the owner ( well not really the owner he’s only looking after it until his sister comes back ) it also leads to a job opportunity . Keats Morgan is a very successful and extremely handsome sports agent who’s looking after Dudley the dog for his sister , both he and Maren hit it off both professionally and later on personally . After a mis understanding when a prospective clients father assumes that they are a couple throws the two together you know it’s only a matter of time before the inevitable happens. Both Keats & Maren have had less than stellar relationships in the past and both have been emotionally hurt by exs and as a result are fearful of getting hurt again . It’s really a lovely easy going story which has a lot of humour sprinkled throughout . If like me and you’ve read all of Deborah’s books you’ll notice there’s quite a few characters from her past novels mentioned throughout . Keats’ adorable niece Stevie is a lovely addition and of course we have some background information about the heartbreak and tragic circumstances that his brother Berk & niece have gone through . Berk’s story is the next novel ....... can’t wait . All in all it’s a fantastic story with a beautiful ending and a free extended epilogue for you to download .....it’s perfect 😍😍 ......... PS loved the pictures on the front of books especially the one on the extended epilogue 😍😍😍😜

Not Deborah's typical high standard
Having had to wait a few extra weeks for this book due to the front cover being classed as "illicit" or "inappropriate", I was genuinely looking forward to this release, having read all of Deborah's books and I really am a huge fan. However, this book although it still had the strong characters, that ooze sexuality and pent up frustration as to not acting on their attraction, to somehow falling into play acting at being a couple, although of course the attraction was genuine; for me this storyline was weak and lacked Derborah's usual twist and turns that have me gasping, and hoping upon hope the couple can get together/overcome adversities. The problems they faced towards the end were weak and really non existent and not really worthy of the characters and to me it felt like it was just thrown in the mix to keep with the authors winning formula, but it really didn't work this time.

Amazing
Loved this book. From the beginning when Maren and Keats first met i just wanted them to be together. The suspense of when they were going to first kiss definitely kept me reading. Also during the book I really wanted to find out if her best friend Arietta would end up dating her boss so I hope there will be a book about their story.

A very basic romance
It always comes down to the writing and this was uninspired.I couldn't understand how this author is a New York bestseller. Does that actually mean something?
