good size mat
Use this when I'm in a hurry and don't want to set up the ironing board. Very useful item to have around the house.

Perfect Size
This is made nicely and is the perfect size for my kitchen island. I am able to iron large items and it stores easily in a linen closet.

Instant ironing board!
Love that it folds up to put away; I iron so infrequently that I don’t want to store a board; this is a perfect solution!

Too thin, not actually protective of surfaces
I was using a towel to protect my cutting mat (to protect my marble table) while cutting on my last project but the heat and moisture got through and warped my very expensive cutting mat. So I purchased this ironing blanket but its not waterproof so the steam penetrates right through. I might continue to use it in ADDITION to a towel but only because this product doesn't do what it claims. None of the recent reviews seem very detailed and some of the old 5 star ones look super suspicious.
