We like that it reduces lead in the water.
The flow is not as fast. However, that gives is said to be because that insures the water has more contact time with the filtration system. This filter reduces lead, whereas the General Ecology filter did not claim to reduce lead.

Decent replacement for the Seagull IV
This is a decent replacement for the Seagull IV filter. Some reviews complain this is a poor filter. Can't say I've experienced poor quality filtered water with the Neo-Pure NP-1SG Seagull RS-1SG Compatible Replacement Cartridge. My filters seem to last 12 months. Might be because where I live and the city does a good job of treating water. I buy this filter mainly for the price and fast shipping from AMAZON.

Just installed. To early to fully rate. Relatively easy to install. Ran a few gallons through it and put some in a glass. It was clear and had no odors. Let’s see how long it will filter for.
