Molten First Touch Volleyball

My kids play volleyball and are just fine with regulation balls, but they are forever trying to bring it in my house and "lightly" toss it around... which always results in some sort of disaster and mom (me) getting ticked off. So we didn't need this as a "first ball" but it's been perfect as our "house ball". Even when it has hit a picture or a vase it hasn't been enough to knock it over. I'm ok with this one being used a little bit inside. Be careful not to overinflate. We did this accidentally and ruined one ball as the cover seams split.

A loooong time ago, when I was young and first started to try volleyball, one of the deterrents was passing a varying set of plastic-y and cheap volleyballs designed to be long lasting and inexpensive. After just a little while, particularly with inexperienced players, forearms became red and irritated. There was little chance that anyone under 10 would ever really have success with normal sized volleyballs that had this type of quality.Fast forward many years and now I have the chance to see if my little kids might be interested in volleyball. One of their friends showed up to the park one day with this volleyball and at first, I thought it was ridiculous. The ball was almost a balloon in terms of weight and responsiveness. A light breeze would easily catch it and blow it off course. However, after thinking about it, this is the perfect volleyball to introduce really young kids to the sport.It flies way too far, can't really use it outdoors with any sort of breeze, but it's so soft that it eliminates some of the tentativeness that may occur with regular balls. If it hits you in the face, no big deal and no red forearms. As my kids learn the basic mechanics with this soft ball, I can then determine the best time to move to a more normal (albeit a softer model before going to the official models) sized/constructed ball.

Pretty good ball for what I needed - kids ages 6 and 10. They enjoy using it and it doesn't hurt their arms. It's standard size, which is also good. I was surprised at how light the ball is. It basically feels like a thick balloon wrapped in padded fabric. It takes some getting used to because the slightest touch can send the ball FLYING.What I don't like is that it's not a perfect sphere like you would expect. Because of the light materials, they're subject to more warping than usual. I mean, it's pretty close, which is fine for us. But it does have a slight bulge on one side. It's been like this from day 1. No one kicked it or misused it in any way.All in all, we're happy with it. I would recommend to kids just wanting to try out volleyball and don't like the ouch factor associated with regular volleyballs.

My children all love this volleyball! My kids are ages 3, 5, 7, and 9. They play with this ball only in the house. After a couple of months, it has held up well and not broken anything. I definitely recommend it for not only young children, but also older kids that want to play in the house.

I was looking for a ball to use with my 1st and 2nd grade girls for volleyball. I found an oversized ball worked better for me than an undersized ball. I like how the ball was soft and light, but unfortunately it didn't fit my needs

This was a very very light ball wich is a plus. ths is good for kids who dont take volleyball seriously as a sport. the bad thing about this ball is its made of fabric. you will see what i mean if you purchase this item. also its not so good to play outside with because it can easily pop because my brothe accidently ripped one of the stichings with a rosse thorn and i realized it is a black rubber ball inside. it can definetly pop. and the fabric can get reaaly dirty outside because of dirt. continue your search. dont purchase here. but the seller was very good!

The main negative i heard about these was their durability so i'll just state some facts and leave it that that. I purchased 4 or them for my 5-6 year old team.1.) They're labeled "for indoor use only", but we only practice outdoors on a hard dirt/grass surface two hours a day three days a week.2.) The only time they've been inflated was when i took them out of the box. None of the 4 have lost any noticable air pressure.3.) My girls are kinder & 1st graders so they kick them, sit on them, and do everything to them that i yell at them NOT to do.4.) None of the 4 balls have tears in their cloth covers or any noticable wear on the seams.I regularly lend them out to my girls so they can practice at home, so who knows what they do to them there! I expected them to only last one season but it looks like i'll be deflating them and packing them up for next year. Like i said, they're a lot tougher than they feel.

I was looking for a lighter weight ball that is the same size as a regulation vball. I wanted my daughter to keep her form while passing and to not compromise her form because the ball is too heavy. This is it!

It's great for the little ones who are learning but there's not much weight to it. It gets taken by the wind and some of the stitching is coming undone. Probably best for indoor play and gentle use.
