Don't really need it
My cat was badly matted (he was a stray). I bought this thinking i could comb out the mats. Nope. No way. It pulled on his mats and hurt him. I guess it's useful for cats who aren't matted. I had to take poor Casper to the vet and have them shave off the mats. He keeps his own coat clean and he doesn't get mats anymore and he doesn't shed so I don't really need this.

My retriever/belgian sheepdog mix not happy
While this works as described, it was not gentle as reviewed by my flat coated retriever/belgian sheepdog mix, so, I can't use it.
