Let's do Handwriting 8-9

My 8 year old son who needs help obtaining his pen licence has found this book very helpful. It has a systematic approach to pen strokes and builds gently into fully cursive script. The stickers help to keep him motivated and there is a very helpful guide at the start. Thoroughly recommended.

Bought to help my son who struggles with his hand writing neatness. He particularly liked this because it says age 8-9 on it (he’s 8) and so he said he didn’t feel like he was doing baby work.

This is by far the best handwriting book I've used with my son, and I've had a few. The great thing about it is that there is lots of practice on each page, so when you set a page to do, it takes 10 minutes. The pages are pastel coloured, with white lines; although I think it's maybe harder to stay on the line, it somehow softens the experience - especially for children who might have bad experiences of handwriting books! All the Andrew Brodie books are fabulous, and this one is no exception.

Bought the whole series of these as my kids teacher recommended them to help improve their handwriting. Plenty of instructions and repetition without being boring. Looks at things like capital letters and labelling.
