You can leave the light off or on. Dim it at your pleasure. I bought it to light the doorway to the bathroom at night. The clock is a plus. It’s quite nice and the remote is a plus too

We've had this product for at least a month now and it is very good. The light is soft but bright and you can change the brightness via the remote. The clock is an especially smart touch and it is bright enough to read during the daytime but not at all glaringly bright at night. My only criticism is that, on the light itself is a button that turns the nightlife off but it inexplicably also turns off the clock. The remote has an "off" button that turns off the light but leaves the clock on as you'd expect. So you have to use the remote if you want the light off but clock on. This is a minor gripe but it's a bit puzzling. Other than that minor niggle, this is an excellent product and a superb deal given that you get not one but two nightlights (and two remotes). If it had a light sensor that turned the nightlight off automatically during the day, it'd be perfect but it's pretty close to perfect with the remotes.

I didn’t even know clock nightlights were a thing. I needed a clock in the bathroom and a light for when I need the bathroom in the middle of the night. The light has different settings. I love the warm light that I chose. It’s perfect!

The replacement unit(s) works great. You need to press hard on the little set buttons, but once pressed, the time will cycle through, then press again to set. The light is perfect for my guest bathroom. I see no need for a remote control. It's a clock, and you plug it in, set the time and it works slightly lighting up the area. ;-)

Love the 3 shades of lights and how you can dim light down and has bright clock. Size good performance good quality appears good thus far.
