This is a great lock. Not Wi-Fi, only very short range Bluetooth activated to lock/unlock;
This is a great lock. Seller though did not make it clear that lock is only Bluetooth activated to lock/unlock; seller showed a smart phone photo next to the lock on the Amazon website making buyer believe it is WiFi. Also Bluetooth range is only about 10 feet, very limited.

Simple yet solidly designed fingerprint lock
Bought this to replace a regular passcode door lock, as I wanted the convenience of a fingerprint-access lock that had physical keypad buttons (i.e. not "touch buttons" that you can't operate with gloves and without purposely looking at them). And please, none of that WiFi/Bluetooth stuff. This lock checked all the boxes.What I like: - Solid construction. Doesn't feel like a Tonka toy, that's for sure! - Fast, reliable fingerprint reader - Extra parts included in case you lose some ;-) - Relatively easy to program - The physical key is mechanical (1 pair included), so it will work even if the batteries are completely dead - Not a standard vanilla key design, so it'll be a tad harder to pick (even if it's only "security through obscurity")Things that could be better: - Negative spring terminals in the battery compartment are very wide. Bit of a problem with the Duracell batteries I used--the first time I put batteries in, the lock did not work. Turned out the battery compartment springs were resting on the insulation surrounding the battery negative terminal. - Rather serious security vulnerability: you can disassemble the outside half of the knob with a regular Allen wrench. It wouldn't have been hard to use a insert-only screw (where the "unscrew" head faces are smooth ramps that push the tool back out). Worse, these screws are very easily felt by a casual grip of the outside handle. - Lock doesn't remember the "sound mute" setting if you replace the batteries. Same as the YL-99 admittedly. - If the sound is muted, the lock does not flash the light red for an invalid fingerprint. Yes, really. (It doesn't unlock the door; just the LED blinks the cyan color same as when you put your finger on the lock.) - Pass-thru mode...I accidentally engaged it once (trying to mute the lock but dialed the wrong code), and couldn't get it to go back to normal locking mode. Ended up disconnecting the battery, and just diddling around with it for a few more minutes before it finally disconnected the internal latch. But that means that this lock might have a latching state mode (i.e. maintain door connection without draining the batteries), which is a huge plus.All in all, I'm quite happy with it--though I've had it less than 24 hours at this point ;-)Will update the review if anything changes.

Worth the money
Bought these as gift and came in nice package with easy instructions and my son went on to buy a few more for the rest of his house. Very satisfied with this product and we'll worth the price compared to other products out there.

Awesome keyless entry option
This biometric doorknob is very functional. The installation was simple and took about 15 minutes. I downloaded the app before I started. I had the tutorial video on as I setup. It was easy to setup my family’s thumb print. I also have a key code as a backup but I didn’t like that the code had to be 8 digits, that’s a little long to remember. Great knob for the price.

Finicky and Reset Often
These seemed to be the perfect solution to our needs for fingerprint and code door handles but they constantly reset or the code gives error and you would need to open it up to reset and get to working again. Ended up replacing all five handles after about two months with a better solution.

Inner locking nut faulty
I really like the door handle it worked great for about 3 days but the third day the outside door handle had come loose from the inside nut holding it in place. I put it back together tighten the bolt down and then a day later it had already came off again...

Too bad iphones couldn't do fingerprints this well!!
They made this as foolproof as possible. Best bang for the buck too that I could find on Amazon. It feels like a nice quality door handle and it works well. The fingerprint reader worked incredibly well even though I only scanned my thumb from one angle (the instructions say to scan at least a few times, just like iphones, except this scanner actually works). The hardest part was getting the old knob off as I didn't have the right tool for that, but installation of this new one was easy thanks to a good design. I love this door knob (using on an elevator to keep kids from going in there) and plan to buy two more. I am very surprised at other reviews and wonder if the manufacturer made some significant improvements as I am very picky about quality and this seems well done. I will update my review in a couple months... as I just installed it today.
