I was surprised,,,the sleeper of my sample pack
This is a great "everyday" blade.. reasonably sharp yet forgiving. Works well in most razors. It doesn't get the buzz of the multi colored Gillettes (the yellows, greens or blacks) but I believe it holds it's own in a tasting test.

There will be blood...
I started shaving like this over a year and a half ago. Did the Lord thing, those were okay. Got the sampler...Note: I don't have a lot of facial hair. Most teenagers have more than I do. But, I am in the military and have to go in clean shaven. More professional that way.Long story short, these blades are awful. It feels like an old pocket knife to the face. They like to catch skin more than hair, even with no pressure applied what-so-ever. Other Gillette blades are okay; not the greatest (Not Derby or Feather or Astra), but still really good. These are the worst I've used. I think these might be serrated. Sure feels like it.Avoid if you value your face.

better than people are letting on
I am not certain why other reviewers have had such trouble with these blades. Maybe it's their light beard, as they state they have. I have a thick, heavy beard that tends to dull a blade in 1-2 shaves. In any case, these blades are quite good for me. They are not the sharpest or closest cut I have tried, but they are one of the most comfortable, especially at their cost. I rarely ever get razor irritation or cut myself. I tend to get about 3 shaves out of each blade, which is the best I can do with any blade before they dull. Just for reference, I am using them with a Parker 92R. Maybe it's the combo of Indian blade and razor? Not sure, but this works well for me, so don't write them off that quickly based on a couple people's poor experience with variables that may not be the same as yours.

works great!
Your mileage may vary of course, but these are great for me. I have a very thick beard and am able to interchange with most of the sharp blades out there (BIC, FEATHER, 7'OCLOCK,) as well as these. Seems like most men with light facial hair have the most complaints so you may want to avoid them if you have fairer skin and hair, but if you got sandpaper facial hair like I do I recommend you try them!

Best Blades I Have Tried to Date
From my sampler pack, the Gillette Goal Stainless blades were by far superior to every other blade. So many factors affect which blade is right for any given person - toughness of ones hair, the type of razor, the angle you shave, etc. etc. These blades are fantastic for me - the other Gillette brand blades were good too, but these are the best for me. Highly recommended!

Gillette Goal - Worst blades ever?
I received a couple of these blades in a razor blade sampler pack from Amazon. Some I liked, some I didn't... but without a doubt the Gillette Goal blade was the worst blade I tried. I have a light beard yet this blade could barely cut through my whiskers. Afterwards my face felt as though I had shaved with a dull steak knife. Highly recommended to avoid.
