The Coastguard's House Darling Island : Gorgeous contemporary romance.

Loved Darling Island, a natural transition from Pretty Beach. There was so much detail of the place, that you were immersed in the lives of the Characters in Darling Island. Polly Babbington's books are my favourite get away from it all, you experience that feel good emotion that you need to escape to and to give you a positive and happy outlook on life. I would recommend this book and all Polly's books, to everyone that needs to enjoy the simple and beautiful things in life.

I wasn't that enthralled with this book, I am sorry to say. For me, there wasn't an awful lot happening, and I thought the ending a bit of an anticlimax, especially as the story seems to continue with the next book. I have to say I struggled through it, but I did not abandon it. I gave it three stars because the descriptions and the characterisations are good, and I like the style of writing, but I am afraid I was bored. Perhaps because I lived in villages right next to the sea, the setting of a house on the beach did not draw me as it might others. So, I apologise to the author, but this is not one for me.

This is the second book written by this Author that I have read. And they are really lovely. It's not just a romance. All the characters are interesting that make up the residents of the island. But her descriptive style of writing, involves and holds you throughout, so that you can just see it all.Fabulous read.

This is another fantastic book in the series which started off in pretty beach and is now on darling island. If you want to lose yourself in glorious sunshine with a few storms thrown in and get that lovely feel good feeling then these are the books for you. Once picked up you will not want to put them down until it is finished .

Wonderful next instalment from Polly Babbington, do not read it you don't want to be addicted to these books, where you will laugh out loud, cry copiously and crave cinnamon buns, sea air and lovely people. If you do like the sound of those, cosy up with snacks, drinks of choice and a nice blanket and enjoy .......

What a beautiful book! Well written and paints so many lovely pictures. Not just of Darling Island, but of all the characters and their stories. Made me laugh, but also made me cry. Didn't want it to end yet, so thank goodness it hasn't, off to read book 2 now, and cannot wait for number 3. Thanks Polly 😃

What can I say? 10 stars for this fabulous book by Polly. Once again the storyline and characters are spellbinding and by the time you've finished reading this book you will definitely want to pack your belongings and move to Darling Island!!
