It works as a usb charger but it is not 3.1amp. The seller should clarify this as I connected a Samsung Z Flip in fast charge mode and only got .88amp less than 5 watts charging. Proof in picture. Selling must be Asian because I have ran into misleading info quite a bit on amazon

Used these to add USB outlets in our camper. We ran new wires off our existing lights and switches to add these. It took some trial and error because the camper wire and the new wires we bought and the wires on these were all different colors, but once we figured it out on one of them, the rest were easy going. We removed the slide overs on them - the springs are a bit stiff and they are hard to open. It's good protection from dust, but we figured that was low risk in our camper. The blue light is obnoxiously bright. We ended up putting a piece of electrical tape over it, and that helped a lot. These were the best price I found and so far they seem to be working well. We can charge our phones without having shore power, and since we put an outlet by each bed, we can also use USB fans to keep air circulating.

I installed a pair of these in our RV and they worked great, supplying more amps than the factory installed ports. It wasn’t until I went to sleep that I realized that the LED. is too bright. It’s bright enough to light up the bedroom and cast shadows on the opposite wall. So, I’ll be looking for another solution for the bedroom locations.

I had no trouble with them, but the spring doors are a pain for children to operate. Add to that, the blue light has become quite annoying, especially after the little doors come out... (removed for the sanity of my family). Other than that, they are functional, work as promised, and easily replaced the faulty units in my RV.

Purchased as a battery backup for phone on a camping trip. 8 people kept there phones charged on islands with spotty roaming and switching between U.S. and Canadian service. I added a fuse and on off switch for when not needed. Made a great system that would have probably worked for weeks.
