This is the best little 1.5 gallon (about 1 gallon of actual swim space) micro desktop tank, because not only can you hide a nano heater in the back area, but you can also add your own filter media, (which is a must of you want to keep anything other than snails or shrimp) and it's just so darn cute! I have 3 endler guppies and one small female betta and that's technically too many, (even for these type of fish) but with proper filtration, maintenance and added plants, it can work.The light is adequate enough for low light plants, (putting it under a desk lamp can help too) doesn't get too hot, and being able to control it with an app is really cool! You will get plenty of algae growth, especially on the front, but that's easily tackled with a plain microfiber cloth! If you use the button on the back it will turn off the filter too which isn't something you want, so I just always use the app for lighting control.The flow is nice and quiet but WAY too high and will stress out anything living in it, (unless it's live corals) especially betas or shrimp!! Fortunately it is easily fixed by stuffing a bit of poly-fill (sold in craft stores or in sewing section at walmart) into the outlet pipe (like shown in top-down photo) with a chopstick handle or your finger. This also acts really well as last minute filtration (because poly-fill is amazinggg as a last step filtration) but should be replaced every week or two.If you're going to use this aquarium to keep a fish or two, please, please set it up with your own filter media and do your research on nano maintenance, because no matter what anyone says, small, non-schooling fish (endlers or bettas) CAN live happily in very small tanks, but you need to be knowledgeable.P.S.If you like crystals, you can add them! If a crystal or rock can be tumbled without issue, than most likely it can be added to a tank without issue. There are actually a lot of misconceptions out there on crystals and compatibility with water and fish. The one I have is Amethyst, but before that, I had beautiful white king cobra jasper with quartz inclusions! ☺️

This is my 2nd tank, the 1st one also cracked and leaked water. When the 1st one cracked after 2 months I thought it was some how my fault. I have had this one just over a month and it also cracked! This is unacceptable and low quality. I have it level and nothing is near it or around it to cause a crack. I am so disappointed in this product. I really wanted to like this tank, the filtration is ok but has shut down on its own a few time's and had to be unplugged then plugged back in the the wall socket. The light is adequate for growing small plants and the tank it's self looks nice and fits in well. I do not recommend this tank to anyone, it is great for a month or two but then is self-destructs. I own many tanks and been in the hobby for years and have never had a tank crack let alone two.

It was great and easy at first. Although out of nowhere I come home and it's leaking water. The bottoms are broken and leaking water. Very sad since it didn't even last a year. It's only been 6 months. Really sad cause now my fish has no place to live but a cup until I find a new home. Really bad. Plus the app doesn't work that well. The auto timer on the lights and water filter doesn't work either. I always have to reprogram it. Very inconvenient and useless

I purchased this tank for my betta, Toby. He loves the tank so much! The kit comes with the filter, water pump, LED light, gravel and setup took less than 10 min. I love the size (would definitely not put anything more than 1 fish in there) and the decorative background is such a cute and unique touch. I am able to control the light from my phone, intensity and color. Awesome starter kit and Toby has grown so much already in a 3 week difference from his first day home. I will note that the company has not provided any extra filter replacements online yet, (said they would soon) but the filter replacement size is very standard and off just eyeballing the size you can find a similar replacement from the pet store. One day plan on upgrading to a larger tank by this company. Toby and I are very pleased!

Not as much room as I expected, however, tank is cute!
