CashelCrusader Horse Fly Mask

Nice sheer lightweight comfy mask. Looks good on my gelding and he seems to enjoy wearing it, as he'll come to me and try to help me put it on.Unfortunately, the velcro strap only lasted 6 weeks and it ripped right off. I wish I could get this exact mask, but with reinforced velcro.

The mare I am riding right now loves this, she doesn’t shake and bob her head anymore and she doesn’t seem anywhere near as anxious and in a hurry on the trail. It is spring in Vermont and the bugs are thick and while fly spray on the horses hair stops them from landing and biting it doesn’t stop them from hanging in a cloud around her head and that worries her. She seems to know when wearing this, that even though they are all around her head, that they cannot get to her and it has been very calming. She seems to see just fine. I have this exact kind of material in a bug net that I wear over my hat when I garden and I see through it perfectly fine to. I am also much less anxious about the deer flies and the blackflies and the mosquitoes when I wear my fly mask so I totally understand why this is so calming for a horse. To add to it efficiency I lightly sprayed it with tri-Tech 13 and let it dry before putting it on. I highly recommend this product.

My horse tips her head to let me put her 'ears' on. I call it her Halloween costume. No more ear bug problems, and her eyes are protected from the sun and flies as well. Very well made, though she did manage to get a little hole in the cheek area within a week or so.

My horse has 2 blue eyes and for some reason the flies love them. This mask is light weight, easy to put on and very durable.

I like how sheer it is and how well it stays on my boy! Since I can keep it on him, and it even protects his ears, he no longer shakes his head to shoo flies away while I'm riding.

This is by far the nicest face mask I have ever seen or used for that matter. So much so that I just ordered another one. I love the fact that my timid Arabian mare can see clearly with no obstruction to her eyesight. like so many other masks do. I have use white and gray masks that are supposed to be see through when in fact, my mare misjudges her steps or is spooked by something that normally would not affect her. This give me the peace of mind knowing she can see things clearly on trails or just out in the field. She does not fight me to put it on her and for the first time ever today, lowered her head so that I could put it on more easily as the flies are horrible right now. The material for the ears is breathable and soft, along with the how it fits over her face and the wide strong velcro holds it in place very very well. I would recommend this mask to anyone needing one. One last thing, I don't have many different burrs in my pasture but the occasional weeds, that I do have and she gets into are really easily pulled off, making cleaning it a breeze. I just can't say enough good things about this awesome mask. Thank you~!!

Light weight horses keep them on. I wish they were a little more durable when horses roll

My pretty well-behaved horse was shying, bucking, shaking her head and being uncharacteristically unpleasant on recent trail rides. Because this was out of place for her, I decided to try a riding mask. I paid more to buy this style from Cashel, believing it to be a trusted brand and that the materials/construction would best others half the price.I have not regretted it. She accepted it without complaint, as if she said "thank you!" when I put it on.I like that it doesn't need to slink over her face and goes on easily, an advantage over stretchier items. The ear coverage seems appreciated, and there's ample room around the eyes. She seems to see well with it in the waning light.Most importantly, her comfort was greatly improved, and the first ride with it was a much safer one.
