Here I am at 70, this my first set and I bloody love it?

I bought this set in an attempt to get my two boys involved in a hobby I adored as a kid. I thought it was something we could do together. I bought this premium set and three extra cars, so spent a significant amount of money.For two days they loved it. I bought a toy garage to keep their new cars in and felt really pleased it had beaten some of the other tat they’d got for Christmas.However on day three it stopped working. Being an old hand at scalextric I tried all the old tricks to get it working again, but eventually narrowed it down to the ARC power unit.I contacted their customer service via email explaining my mission to help them get into Scalextric and begging for their help to fix their Christmas present quickly. After about 10 days (!) they replied asking me to try a few ideas to fix but when these failed they asked me to send it back for evaluation. They warned this would likely take 28 days. Merry Christmas boys, your Christmas present won’t be available to you u til February at the earliest.If you loved this as a kid and want to get your children into it I strongly suggest you don’t bother. The product is poor quality and the customer service believe it’s ok to deprive children of their Christmas present for over a month. This is not worth the trouble and heart break. I still don’t know if they’ll even fix it or if it’ll remain a useless windy piece of plastic in the spare room. Shame.

This is a very fast set of track a cars. The app introduces many useful functions like stat lights count down tyre wear and furs usage together with different race lap numbers. Track can be extended easily.

I bought the set and it's good overall but the Aston Martin car did not work.I've contacted Amazon , they said to contact scalextric. I contacted scalextric and they said they don't replace items you have to talk to AmazonThere is a technical line I've been offered but I'm.not technical. I just want a car that works from new and works

Has been a really really bad experience since receiving this set. The Aston Martin car broke within the first 10 minutes. Burning smell and then died. The lights on that car never worked fully from the first time used. I have had to buy another car, but can't seem to get the track to run without continually experiencing dead spots. I have done everything recommended for these types of issues. Made sure all the track is perfectly connected, cleaned (even though it is new) checked the cars brushes etc. My son and I don't even want to play on it anymore, as it's simply not fun with having to move the cars off the dead parts all the time! It's basically not playable 😞

It didn't work my Grandson was gutted. Ruined Christmas.Sent it back which cost me £16 in postage and insurance.Got my refund for the scalextric.

Had loads of old-school scalextrics as a kid so knew the children would love this and they do! Great Christmas for boys and girls. Only warning is the cars with this set are a little brittle, they are not the most trigger happy friendly as they have quite delicate rear spoilers, which on both cars broke off after bad crashes which is difficult to avoid with young ( 9 and 6 ) kids. I would take the rear spoilers off for the first timers.The wireless controllers are really good though, a great innovation to the old wired controllers and the app works really well too, we particularly like playing with the tyre wear and refuelling modes on so you have to stop at the pit lane for an interactive tyre change and refuel.All in all a really great product, just maybe not suited to really small kids due to the delicate cars. I’m aware there are more durable cars that may be better for beginners.

One of the car led headlights doesn’t work.
