Great gift for a potter!
I bought this book for my granddaughter who is a potter and she loved it! It's full of interesting history and lovely photos. I'm so happy to have happened upon this awesome book and am pleased my granddaughter is happy with her gift!

Reasonably priced survey
A kind of international ceramic survey, organized historically, based largely on the Ashmolean Museum's collections (and therefore necessitating rather limited examples). Each pot is discussed succinctly. Would have liked to see more color illustrations and, for those of us with failing eyesight, a larger font. But these probably were economic decisions which kept the price reasonable.
