Woodwick Jar Candle (Small) (Redwood)

A year ago and the year before that, I bought the large version of this candle and, that being unavailable this year, I had to get these tiny ones - one for me and the other as a gift to a friend who also loves the Sequoia Redwood aromaI expected these to be perhaps half the size of the 800ml ones, but they're tiny! They're just as good in every other way, and they're cute wee things, but the jars are only slightly larger than a shot glass whereas the big ones, when emptied and repurchased as drinking vessels, hold a complete bottle of wine and are ideal for a lovely cold beer with lots of head room and stability that isn't found in pint measured bar glasses.Taking into account the lovely scent, the cuteness of these "Honey I shrunk the candles" packages and that they'll make excellent vessels for a sipping rum or a small vodka (Please drink responsibly, folks), I am pleased with these and so far, they're burning down remarkably slowly given their tiny volume of wax, but costing half as much as the massive ones of the last couple of years, yet containing roughly a fifth of the amount of wax, I couldn't give them a higher score for value, especially not while the economy is broken and people everywhere are struggling to heat their homes and definitely cannot justify the luxuries that some consider essential at this festive time of year.Pros:Same excellent fragrance as the larger ones, cute looking, jars make excellent and unique drinking glasses once empty and flushed out with petrol or similar and for their small volume, they seem to be very frugal in terms of how quickly the wax level is dropping.I would buy again, but please, Woodwick, could you perhaps state the volume of wax in these, clearly, in your listing? This way, we won't be surprised by the tiny candles.Cons:The diminutive proportions of the candles, compared to previous years' smaller ones.Not such incredible value for money when they're this tiny.Sum up:I like these. A whole lot, but only their gorgeous scent and the cuteness of these babies save their being marked down to a greater extent, buyers be aware that these are so small, but for quality, scent and appearance, plus the characteristic crackle of the wooden wick; I do still love these even if it's become necessary to give up another luxury to buy these.Meh! Who needs to send Christmas cards anyway?
