Perfectly sized boxes are great for storing canning jars. 6 jars per box capacity make it easy to lift and manage when full. Boxes are reusable and have an easy close lid that does not require tape. 4 boxes included, each with a different canning design.

We needed them, but they're a disappointment
Wish we still had the original mason/ball boxes. Of course one ends up collecting extra jars. Thus we bought these because our shelves were filled with these loose jars among all the other glass jars/bottles one hangs onto. Not all pint jars are the same size; some of mine are just a little taller so box lid bulges/doesn't properly shut. The idea was to safely put empty jars away as they were used/cleaned so they didn't get broken; the design of these boxes is such that you still need to save jars somewhere (unsafe, unstable) till you have (6) to put away because they aren't secure in the box otherwise. You could leave a box sitting out somewhere taking up flat surface space; but, we're trying to put them away and not leave clutter (shift the box and the jars tip over). Likewise, if you have things canned in the boxes, you've got to take all the jars out (if you can different things, you've got multiples of 5 or 6 to put on the pantry shelves). And I've just realized, I'm storing empty jars without lids and rings! Not sure full jars will fit at all. They're pretty boxes; but the design sucks. And of course they only hold six rather than full dozen/twelve -- which we knew, but were willing to deal with, except without the other disappointments mentioned. Also feel they're a little pricey.

Worth the money
I read several reviews before purchasing this product. I agree with all of you who have issues with Ball (and others) that no longer sell their jars in complete cardboard boxes (as was done for dozens of years). I don't know how they get away with it in regards to jar breakage during shipping. These boxes are adequate, but not as good as the ones that were once sold with the jars. For those of you that complained that the jars do not fit into the box, I'm sure that the box maker did as good as they could. Within Ball alone I think (over time) they have made dozens of different shaped jars (in quart size alone). They all hold 1 quart, but are shaped differently. A generic company cannot possibly make a box that fits them all. Overall (for aftermarket product) these boxes will function as advertised. Maybe we could all ban together and ask canning jar makers to go back the best practice of shipping and selling their product in complete cardboard boxes. One can also buy sturdy canning jar boxes from a company called ULINE. They cost more and must be purchased in increments of 10, but ALL of my jars fit n them.

Great product, but expensive.
They cute, they are functional, but they are incredibly expensive for no more than they are, a glorified cardboard box. They seem to work quite well on all types of pint canning jars, older (80's) and newer. I got them to try out for moving my home canned tomatoes, green beans, jams, and salsas across the country and wanted something that'd keep my jars snug and separated. The fact that you can only fit 6 jars per box isn't such a detraction, except for having to buy more at an inflated price, because 6 full jars are pretty hefty. Reusing the trays the jars came in for 12 jars is fine for shelves, but when you're moving them around they can be unstable and flexible, something you don't want when you're moving.I think I'm going to buy some directly from Uline that are similar, but nowhere near as expensive.

great for wide-mouth jars, not so great for regular sized jars
These are great little storage boxes, but there's one problem: they fit wide-mouth jars perfectly, but the regular-mouth jars, which are a tad bit taller, cause the lid to buckle. Victorio, please take this into consideration and raise the height about 1/2 inch to accommodate the slightly taller jars!

Pretty boxes
These are cute boxes however they aren't the easiest to use. They don't have dividers other than the box lid. The lid folds down between the jars. Only holding 6 jars does help with the weight. I use a lot of canning jars so I like for them to be easy to get to but clean when I need them.

These have ONE JOB, to store jars...Fail
These have ONE JOB, to store pint canning jars. I have mostly Mason brand jars. These boxes are about an 1/8th inch too short to store jars so they fit and can easily stack. Any jars like thes eare generically called Mason jars, no matter what brand you actually have. You think they'd at least fit very standard jars.
