Comfortable and effective after dog's surgery
This is so much more comfortable and effective than the hard plastic "cone of shame." It reminded me of the airline neck cushions that humans use, and my dog had no problems with mobility, eating and sleeping. I like that you blow it up manually, you don't need a pump, and it stays inflated for a long time. It also provides inside straps that can be tied to the dog's collar, and I cut a piece of towel to attach it. I think you can also feed the collar through the inside straps, but I wanted to be able to take it off easily and quickly when necessary. Since my dog's lumps were in back AND front, she also needed to wear a t-shirt or she would scratch her neck. That's true of cones as well.

Didn’t work for male GSD
Bought this for my one year-old male German shepherd to keep it from licking his stitches after he got neutered. Even though it was easy to use, it did not stop him from reaching the stitches area. I’m sure it would work for another breed, just does not work for dogs with long faces and long tongues.

Great Product for Small Dog Spay
I used this for my 15 pound dog after her spay. The original cone was stiff and did not allow her to use her paws to hold anything and bumped into things around the house. This was more comfortable and allowed her to reach her feet and paws. It was also more comfortable. Her spay was laparoscopic, so she only had two small incisions on her abdomen. I don't know if this would work well for a neutering because the incisions are down lower.

Does the job
My dog had a sore on his ear that he kept scratching and re-opening. We didn't want to do the big plastic "cone of shame" so a friend suggested this. It was easy to inflate, doesn't deflate over time, holds well on my big (105 lb) dog and keeps him from scratching! Plus, unlike those plastic cones, this one is comfortable for him and he can even sleep comfortably with it on, it actually acts like a pillow for him!

too small
I had to return it. the size chart is incorrect. the color was way to small. it was supposed to fit up to 24" but it didn't make it half way around my dogs neck
