WOW was so happy to finally receive this, no thanks to the USPS. The unpacking went nice. Talk about Heavy Duty! The powder coat Bronze looks awesome as I was inspecting each part, thats when I found the dent in one of the poles. UGH Really A steel pole dented? No damage to the packaging. All the other poles and hardware were fine. This leads to me to believe that this dent happened during packing of the product. I was like ok the dented pole can be the bottom one, it will go into the sleeve and where the dent is should be close to the sleeve and if not it should be pretty un-noticeable. Well upon further inspection the dent was of course on the Pole with the holes to install the Cleat, so the dent will be Noticeable. UGH! So I contacted Valley Forge Customer Service. So Three Stars until I hear from them, all I would like is a replacement pole. I will update my review accordingly when I hear back from Customer Service. Cannot rate the features at this time. Update: Customer Service was awesome. Sent replacement pole within days via UPS. This Flag Pole looks awesome. Replaced 3 year old aluminum pole. Base same size. Only downer was color of Truck and Cleat they were a Brass color. Found some metallic paint that matched perfectly. Krylon Fusion All-In-One, Metallic Dark Copper. Getting it all together was easy. Only other hit would be the Ball for the Truck. Paperwork shows a screw that would help keep the ball from spinning, however in all fairness a nut was included for the ball to tighten it down. We shall see. Overall I am Really happy and impressed with this Flag Pole.

Anyone who has any questions, concerns or complaints can get their answers here. I have read some of the reviews. Some are inaccurate. 1. The directions are on the back Of the box The flag pole comes in. 2. Dig the hole with a post hole digger, or sharpshooter shovel and make it the size as instructed on the box. Place the sleeve with the bottom of the flag pole in it to make sure the sleeve is 3 inches above the ground after placing rocks in the bottom and sand on top of the rock. Be sure to use the quick dry concrete in in the red sack. Pour the concrete with the sleeve and pole in it and mix with water. Fill in with the dirt left from digging the hole, level the pole and brace it. Wait for the concrete to harden. I let it set over night but 3-4 hrs will give it time to harden. 3 Assemble the flag pole as instructed with the rope pulley on top. Then screw the gold ball on top.It even shows you how to tie the flag clasps to the rope. Place the first clap 6-7 feet from the knot that ties the rope together. Place the bottom clasps at the bottom ring on the flag. Do this after assembling the pole. The pole is extremely light and easy to place. 4. The pole is going to sway in the wind. If you notice the base does not move with the swaying.There is absolutely no need to screw the joints together. This makes in hard to store quickly if needed. 5. I placed a night light on top and it looks amazing at night.According to proper flag flying protocol it is to be lighted at night or taken down. I am completely satisfied with my Valley Forge Flag pole and flag which is of the highest quality. I have received many compliments on it. I placed gardening rocks around it stacked 4 high. I then placed potting soil in it and planted flowers. It does look amazing.

Love this flag pole. The gold ball topper on mine was in perfect condition, however I did not use. I ordered the Montague flagpole eagle 12inch and it looks amazing. The pole is very tall and we chose to leave one four foot section out, plenty tall enough. I also ordered the solar light (sunnytech). With the Montague eagle and the solar light, I had to make them fit. The screw on the eagle is not really long enough to connect through the solar light and top of the flag pole. I really screwed the eagle and flag pole top together to make them fit. The eagle's talons dented into the gold ball when I screwed them together to fit. I actually think it looks really cool, like the eagle is crushing the ball with it's talons. It is so high up you can't tell but it all worked out. I like the gold ball with the eagle and did not want to leave it off. I am flying both the USA and Canada flag so I bought the extra snap hooks, they work great. Tonight is the first night up, so I cannot really comment on wind as of yet. For the price and appearance I am super happy.

The product arrived in great shape. It was very easy to install and looks fantastic. I had concerns that it might not hold up during strong winter winds, so I only used 4 of the five sections. It's still about 18 ft high so I'm happy and I have a spare section to use if I want to raise the flag higher or if one section ever fails. The pully mechanism is nicely shielded from the elements and the decorative ball on the top looks great. The flag that came with it is of the highest quality! I'm impressed! I live in Canada though, so I'll either have to give it to one of my friends who vacations south of the border or find a place there myself. Overall, great product. Highly recommended.
