Allows me to control a small panel heater I wall mounted in the bathroom.
This little thing is great and works perfectly for my purpose. I removed a receptacle and used this in the empty box to hardwire a low voltage (150w) panel heater on the wall next to our MBR toilet, which gets chilly in winter. I wanted the panel heater almost flush to the wall, directly in front of the outlet, and there was not room to plug it in in this layout. It did let me create a nice soft heat next to the toilet with no visible wires. There is no wall switch controlling this, so I left out the switch connections on the device. I control it via smartthings hub and, because it's so low voltage, just turn it on in winter and off when the weather warms up. though you could easily create routines and schedules with a more powerful wall-mountable heater. Love it and will buy more when I find a reason to.

Solid in wall unit
I've started replacing all of my old Enerwave RSM in wall units. I've tried 3 different brands, and this one has been the best. It's a standard Zwave protocol with no special functions to break things (looking at you Fibaro). Extremely small and fits easily into a wall box or inside of a fixture. Fast response times.Installation was easy, but it doesn't come with any wiring. I was able to just cut the wires off of my old Enerwave units, otherwise I would have had to order a spool of wire.

Works well with Samsung SmartThings
I used this to control a pool light switch using Samsung SmartThings. The benefit of the Aeotec Nanco Switch is that I was able to keep my existing outdoor weather rated pool light switch to add home automation capabilities. Installation was relatively easy and took a little less than an hour, but mostly because I made a mistake in my wiring and had to spend some time troubleshooting. The instruction leaflet is very nano š -- pun intended.Once I looked up the installation guide online and printed the full page instructions I was quickly able to identify my mistake. I definitely recommend that you download and print the installation instructions instead of using the included printed instructions. My only gripe with the Aeotec Nano Switch is that it came with an older firmware version that will show you real-time power consumption, but does not show cumulative energy consumption. Aeotec has an updated firmware that enables this functionality, however, it is not possible to update the firmware using Samsung SmartThings. The inability to update firmware for Z-Wave devices using SmartThings is not an Aeotec issue, but rather a limitation of SmartThings, however, it would have been nice to know that I needed to update the firmware before I completed the installation. In order to update the firmware I will have to open up the switch box and use a different Z-Wave controller hub (a separate purchase) and after updating the firmware I will need to add the Nano Switch back to SmartThings and redo any automations that I already have in place right now for the Nano Switch. This is not a deal breaker for me, but I could see this being annoying for others. I will eventually do the firmware update.Other than that, the Nano Switch has been wonderful and I am enjoying it very much. No need to walk outside to turn on the pool lights and remembering to turn them off, everything happens automatically now.

Installation was easy, find the "hot" wire that's always on
Bought two of these to control LED light fixtures (non dimmable). Installation was easy, find the "hot" wire that's always on, wire it to line and to one of the relay terminals, neutral (yes, neutral is required), then wire the fixture's load to the other relay terminal, and they share the same neutral. It is important to use stranded wire (18 gauge), solid wire won't stay secured in the terminals. I don't use the S1 and S2 terminals for a switch, so can't review or explain that portion. They are installed in a hidden area within the metal fixture (z-wave signals work through the metal). I used two-sided tape to hold them in place. The relay is pretty quiet, it is audible to an extent but it's a faint clicking sound. They have been reliable since I installed them.

It works! SmartThings and connecting to two switches.
I put two of these in a double gang electrical box in my backyard shed, along with two slim regular light switches. Each Nano relay can control one light via ZWave (SmartThings in my case). In addition to that, you can wire in two switches that will activate the Nano relay āmanually.āUsing SmartThings, one Nano controls an inside light, and the other Nano controls an outdoor flood light. I used both the S1 and S2 inputs on each Nano. S1 is wired to a regular on/off physical switch. S2 is wired to a relay from a different automation system. So, now I can control these lights from their original light switch, SmartThings, or my other automation system. Sometimes the state of the light in SmartThings does not match the physical switch but turning it off and on again gets it back on track. I hope it lasts a long time. It was a tight fit in the electrical box. One thing I had to do as part of the one-time setup to get the S1 to work was to press the button on the Nano 4 times quickly, then immediately flip the manual switch. For S2 to work I had to press the Nanoās button 6 times quickly and then flip the switch wired to S2. This is outlined in the instruction manual.Regarding wiring, please always consult an electrician.
