Sound i82SWS 8-inch Shallow Woofer System Under-the-Seat Subwoofers with Gaskets, 2-Ohm (Pair)

I have a 2018 BMW 3 series with the harmon kardon system. The underseat woofers are almost unnoticeable and installing these, even without an amplifier, is a modest, worthwhile improvement. The manual claims a 3db increase even on stock amplification. The speakers are easy to install; the whole thing took about 90 minutes, no requirement to modify/cut anything. I'd recommend 1) wiring the ring gasket (there is a BMW harness included), 2) installing the gasket, and 3) then inserting the speaker. You only need a T50 socket wrench bit for moving the seat and a T20 to remove the cover and mounting screws.

So after one of my logic 7 subs went out and I decided to buy the dual replacement and replace both subs. The amount of bass these subs put out compared to the upgraded BMW original sound system..... Oof!!! Not even a comparison!! These sws 2ohm are worth every freaking penny!!!! The install took me about 20 minutes each side and the sound performance is just on a whole nother level. I've never heard of this brand but I'm telling you, if you're looking for a bass upgrade, this is the way to go!

I have run 2 of these off a Kicker Key500.1, set gains with my Fluke DMM to 100w RMS a piece to see how they handle better power than BMW HiFi amp (40w RMS a piece). I had to basically not send any power at these at all, they start cooking pretty bad. I have headaches when I drive from the glue burning up on the voice coils. They just dont stay cool. I also run an RE Audio XXX 12" on 2000-2400w RMS in same vehicle. The SW8s were more for 60-150hz and my XXX for 25-60hz. Either way, there is no way they could ever handle 150w RMS a piece. Not happy with these at all. I will probably buy a couple Kicker 8" L7Ts and fabricate custom enclosures under the seat for them for what Im looking for, and send those an actual 500w. Read positive things, but as an installer, I have blown 2 subwoofers. 1 was over 20 years ago on my second install for a buddy in high school. The second was because a customer insisted on me using a crummy $75 used Crunch walmart amp to try and send some Planet Audio 15s 2000w (some of the worst amps in the market). If you run an unclipped signal to these, I wouldn't push em past 60w a piece, they simply cannot handle any power. They sound alright, but after 1 minute I cannot stand the voice coils burning up. These speakers are not for me.

Dropped these into my BMW G30 5-Series as drop-in replacements, being driven by the stock hi-fi system. Big upgrade from stock, well worth the money. I waited too long to do this, should have been one of my first changes. Nice mid-bass kick, sounds like it should have all along. I may add a dedicated sun later on, but enjoying these very much for now.

Went with these in replacement of the more expensive "ghost woofers" and I'm glad I did. These sound way better! But what I found out the hard way is that the rings/gaskets that these come with are so weak, they broke apart both times. I need to order more of these but just haven't gotten around to it. But, if with the missing gaskets, the sound great! Get these

Great tight bass. Perfect fit for the BMW.

They’re not mind blowing upgrades but they definitely are much better than the original ones. Much better reverberating bass and thumping bass. Better register and pretty clear. Be careful cause you do have to remove the top protector so stuff if in the floorboard will roll onto them sometimes, coins and paper are the worst lol. Other than that great.

Greatly improved bass response!...No distortion at high volumes!...Competitive alternative to BAVSound and other higher end mid base subs for BMWs....

I bought these to replace my blown CX5 speakers. They are not quiet a perfect fit but with some adjustments I made them fit. Amazing sound and so glad I could get them in a 2ohm variant. Great price considering the factory replacements were double the price for one. So happy with the purchase.

Replaced a pair of Jehnert speakers with these and must say they are much better for my taste in music. If you like low end bass then these are for you, this is exactly what the Jehnerts lacked for me. I drive these at full power from an external amp and they’re great, but make sure you have an amp powerful enough to do so otherwise they may not be as loud as you’d like. Quality is great, the adapter rings having a foam surface is a nice touch also and the speaker wire pass through terminals is really helpful.

Huge improvement over the base system woofers & amp of my F30 335i. installation is smooth.

I have had my X5 for about two years. One question I always asked myself was "Do I actually have subwoofers under the front seats because I don't feel or hear any bass?" After feeling them slightly with bass gains all the way up I had to try to replace them. These earthquake subwoofers are incredible, and I wish I bought them sooner. I can finally hear and feel the bass. They were very easy to install and they even came with the plug adapter so I didn't have to cut the factory wires. Probably the best addition I have made to my car.

There are lots of speakers out there made to fit in the floor under the seats of a BMW . I’ve researched very carefully and please take my word for it the Earthquake Subwoofer Speaker System is by far the best set of speakers out there . The quality and sound is breathtaking but more important the company that sells them is about the best company I have ever dealt with . When I bough my 8” Earthquake Speaker there was an ring adaptor available to make them pretty much plug and play when installing in a BMW . So I bought the rings but to my surprise a set actually came with the speakers !! I contacted the company and they actually refunded my money BEFORE I EVEN SHIPPED THEM BACK !! Find another company with that kind of customer service . More companies need to learn customer service from them !! Life long Customer !!!
