the mid-2012 MacBook Pro memory spec is 1600MHZ; DDR3 the mid-2014 MacBook Pro memory spec is 1600MHZ: DDR3L So there is a difference. I don't know if the DDR3 works in the DDR3L machine - you would have to check with Apple a memory company what the difference is.

Excellent memory cards.

Decided to upgrade my 2012 27" iMac Pro from 8GB to 32GB, the installation was simple and trouble free, and the iMac booted up instantly, and now has a noticeable increase of speed, great product, great value.

32 GB did the job

My iMac Retina 27" was running out of memory, particularly whilst running Firefox Browser along with other appliations. Everyting OK now. Wish I'd installed this kit some time ago. Very easy to fit and almost idiot proof. If you plan to extend the life of this iMac then I highly recomend the upgrade.

Incredible speed boost
