CapezioHanami Ballet Shoe - Size 5.5M, Light Pink

So I read all the reviews, because Amazon does not provide manufacturer sizing. According to the reviews the shoes run small but how small? Who really knows. So we ordered a size larger. WRONG!!! The box the shoes came in said size 7 but they fit like a size 4 or 5. So we returned the Hanamis and ordered a similar style from a different brand who's sizing is more clear. Too bad for Capezio that they are so poorly represented on Amazon.

I was able to try on ballet shoes at a local dance store. So when I ordered these, I already knew they would fit since I was ordering the exact same brand and size. They fit true to size for me. I wear a womens street shoe size 9.5 and I am 9.5M in these. But I know my feet have always been very average. Not too wide, not too narrow, just generic and average. I will always recommend going to a local store at first, if just to try on shoes, before purchasing online, especially if you're afraid you DON'T have stereotypical average feet.My only other advice, if you've never purchased ballet shoes before, is do not expect them to be loose in any way. Don't think of them as "shoes". Think of them as "socks". They're going to fit your feet very snug like a sock would. It shouldn't be painfully tight, but they will be very snug. And they will loosen up some over time as you dance in them. Mine start out "very snug" and eventually end up as "kinda snug" from being so stretched out after months and months of dance in them. I never wash them, so they last as long as possible and never shrink.

This product is so small, I am convinced we were sent a child's shoe. Maybe we were, I don't really know b/c the label matches the order, while the shoe is not even close to the right size (it's about half the size of my daughter's foot!). And, this is with the two sizes increase mentioned in the recommendations for ordering the shoe. I have bought many, MANY dance shoes over the years, so I usually am able to figure out the crazy sizing discrepancies for each manufacturer and to keep it simple, I usually stick to Bloch or Capezio. I am not sure what the deal is, but I would not buy these shoes again, or recommend the "Under Moments" seller... Every time I order from them, something seems to get mixed up, the order takes longer to receive, and their returns are not as easy as usual amazon returns even though they are a "prime" seller. I'm going to have to go locally for this one!!

This sizing is ludicrous. Even after reading reviews and ordering sizes up, when they arrived it was laughable at how TINY they were. I don’t even know that I could use them as mittens!Not only that, when I returned them I was given a partial refund. One of the WORST products and service experiences on Amazon to date.I am so unhappy and would not recommend this product. If I would’ve known I’d be ripped off when returning them, I would’ve kept them and gifted them to my 5 year old niece because they’d probably fit her little feet just right.

This product runs so small, I was convinced we had ordered a child's shoe. Perhaps the wrong shoe was sent in error? But, the label indicates that it is indeed what we ordered. Not sure I can recommend given this crazy size discrepancy.

I love these shoes!I’ve used this brand for years. So knowing that I know they tend to run small and narrow. I ordered them a size up and then went with my point shoe width to make sure I had the right width of the shoe (so if you have a wide Metatarsal area, go for the wide and not a regular width, even with a narrow heel).I just required my students to get them too and they LOVE them as much as I do!

These run very small. I read the reviews and bought a half-size larger than normal, but I had to pay to return them and order a new pair. I’ll update if the new pair is also too small.Be very careful ordering these if you don’t absolutely know your size because they love to charge you return shipping.

So after reading the comments below, I ordered 2 different sizes to be sure: one 1.5 sizes too big, and one 2 sizes too big. The 2 sizes was definitely too big, It fit, but was definitely some bunching and the leather sole was reaching my toes rather than the sole of my foot.The 1.5 sizes above is okay... very comfortable and not tight at all. but personally I wanted that skin-tight slick look to really mold to my feet, so I will try going only 0.5-1 size higher next time.

After reading previous reviews I contacted Capezio themselves and asked for advice on sizing. I purchased 2 pairs for my DD's one 7.5 and one 10. These shoes do come up 1.5-2 sizes smaller than normal but will stretch (advice from Capezio); my daughters are a UK size 3.5 and 5 respectively and the shoes fit.When purchasing I would recommend purchasing 3.5-4 sizes larger than your current UK shoe size to get a nice fit.These will fit snuggly due to the fit and fabric of the shoe as they are a 4 way stretch canvas which is more flesh than pink in colour but look lovely on and are very comfortable to wear so wear my daughters tell me!

Good quality ballet slipper and speedy delivery.Shoe advertised as UK 6.5 ( I’m usually a 5.5- 6) and they are far too small. I’ve requested an exchange to a 7.5. Have paid the postage but this is an annoyance when the product is not the correct UK size. If sizing was different, this should have been clearly advertised.

This was a second pair, ordered 2 sizes larger than normal shoe size. First pair (different colour) was only 1.5 sizes larger and a bit small.

Item fit perfectly. Color was slightly different. My daughter still loved them.
